Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest this one. www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/qprs-junior-hoilett-owes-mark-4290159 “Mark Hughes is a terrific manager and has been one of the major influences on my development. At the age of 16 when I couldn’t get my work permit, he gave me the confidence to train with Blackburn in the first team. He was there when I first moved over to Germany. He gave me the confidence as a player to express myself on the pitch. He believed in me and saw something in me to have me train with the first team at such a young age. It was good for my development to have a manager like that giving his backing. And when he went to QPR it was great to work under him again"

Hoilett is still alive?.
Fuck me I thought he'd packed up and returned to Canada to be a mountie or something.

Most managers like to go back for players they have worked with well before - see Ireland and Sidwell. Hoilett was a great prospect under Hughes at Blackburn. Provided 'Arry doesn't want a king's ransom for damaged goods (£4m is probably about right), he is still young enough (24) to become the player he looked like becoming as a youngster. As Moses has shown no sign of wanting a permanent deal, we have to look to who else we can bring in. Hoilett, whether some of us like it or not (and I do, personally), fits the bill.

If we are talking 3 or 4 then I guess it's not the biggest gamble, after all he clearly has a good relationship with Hughes. Sooner have him then Assaidi

Hope not. We need to keep Crouch here for at least another 12 months imo

What does Football Manager say about the lad? What about a cheeky loan bid for Super Mario Balotelli? ????

Seems to have gone backwards at QPR.
£1-2M tops for a player who isn't a shoe-in selection at a very poor Premiership team.

What does Football Manager say about the lad? "Too many doubts. Avoid signing". I disagree with Carto's scouting tool here though. Think he has a lot of potential in the right system, which I believe ours is.

Argh please don't be dealing with fucking Redknapp again.
Can only see him talking to us if Crouch is involved in any deal.

I wouldn't deal with Redknapp however he would suit the wide attacker role to a tee. If we got another pacey target man in id swap Crouchy for him.

Crouch is still a PL level striker, Hoilett isn't PL standard, would be a total waste.

I was a big fan of Hoilett at Blackburn and he looked destined for big things. For QPR it just hasn't worked out. Still only 24 though so hopefully Hughes can get him playing as he was a few years ago.
