I'm not a fan of the stats because I don't think they are a reflection of performance to be relied on too heavily.
How would Crouchie's goal be recorded on Saturday for Superjon's part?
Would it be a gold star for the assist, or a black rain cloud for a duffed shot in front of goal, or both?

They work by sides like arsenal and Liverpool spending the game passing it around with no purpose just to get their opta stats up.

I felt sure that we'd have an expert on hand to shed a bit more light on it. I'm not sure the fantasy football ratings will be relied upon for many things.

I think in fantasy football they give an assist to the last player that touched the ball on the same team. Not sure about opta.
