Does anyone think this is a good idea? Apparently 44% of games will be screened live next year, nearly half! I think I read that 10 games will be played on friday's from next season.

This is the biggest load of horsewank going. Let's put some games on a Thursday night too. That way we can sack off the Saturday 3pm kick offs and have the fixtures of every gameweek spread out over every day of the week even on European weeks. Friday 8pm followed by a Thursday 8pm, followed by a Monday 8pm then a Sunday 1pm - total load of shite for the fans that attend the games.
Fuck off Scudamore!

With some new bidders the contract value is supposed to increase from 3bln to 4.5bln. To justify it they need to televise more games!
Just what the Premier League needs - more TV revenue for the agents and players pockets fuck the fans AGAIN

Much prefer a Friday night game to a Sunday afternoon if I'm honest.

Friday night football live so the same as we played in the mid 1990's when we were in The Coke Can League, remember Wallace falling over the ball to score the only goal against Birmingham, that was a Friday night live game and when we staged the 15 minute sit out of the stadium when we beat Bradford that was a Friday night as well. SO in fairness sounds ok to me

Not for me, I'd do away with the Monday nights, the Sunday games have been a disappointment this season as well.
Saturday games are always the best, whether that's 12:45, 3:00 or 5:30. I'd rather see multiple games televised at the same time and play them all on the same day, it would make things far more interesting and we'd get a proper match of the day as well.

Bad Idea, I've 3 girls 5, 11, 13 all season ticket holders. Evening games are too late, so all don't usually go, but that means my wife doesn't go.
Not having get up as early on Saturday will help. As above post, Fridays better than Mondays though.

It'd be ok if they fucked off Sunday lunchtime kick offs, or Monday nights.
But in addition? Meh

Everyone playing at the same time has all but vanished I know that but it still bugs me that television overrides the live experience. Fans who attend games are just extras for The Spectacle.

For those who live locally, I'm sure this would be good, but for those of us who live a distance away travelling on a Friday afternoon/evening is a nightmare.

The PL have said that there will be no 4-day weekends and Friday games will replace some Monday evening games. It is interesting that the small unscientific straw poll above indicates support for Fridays over Mondays, which would be my personal preference as well. Travel is worse on a Friday than a Monday, but on the other hand, for many people it's not a working day the following day. What of course IS wrong about these latest packages is a further 9% increase in the number of live televised games. It won't surprise you to know that the FSF wasn't consulted on any of it before the packages were decided.

I really couldnt give a toss what night of the week , saying that though id prefer friday to monday any day
One thing that should be looked at though is the club streaming any away game that is not covered by sky or bt. Id happily pay for this service.
And to all those who are concerned that airing more live games would harm ebbsfleet united or cambridge united, if the club had control over it they could open it up to season ticket holders and / or people within the stoke on trent post code area.
Wouldnt be bothered about any pre match / half time / after game analysis bullshit so thered be no cost involved there and as these games are provided to international audiences anyway via the premier league, i cant see there being much cost issue there either
