Vintage Taylor.Did not panic and punished Kim for being cocky. Yep. When it got to the business end Phil showed experience and crushed him. This Bunting is playing well.

Been some great stuff so far and a good set of quarter finals to come.
My prediction for the semis - MVG v Wright and Taylor v Bunting

1st 1/4 final done. Winner MVG. Stunning game. Class from MVG to close out with a 170. Both players (I think) averaged over a ton.
Next up Snakebite v Anderson.

Need Vincent beat Phil tomorrow then I can back against Vincent big time in the semi whilst safe in the knowledge that no matter what I'll be in the money.

Come on Vincent push on because Phil looks a tad fed up at what's getting hit and checked out.
However, got a feeling as this match won't come down to whose the best it'll come down it who can hold their nerve.
Can see it going to a deciding set.

Tournaments are so much better when Taylor goes out

If ever there was a turning point then Phil hitting double 8 that was it.
Massive and if ever Vincent needed an interval after a set then that was it. He's done for now.

Take a deciding set now.....Lol.
That double 8 was massive because if he misses it and Van Der Voort takes out tops then he's still riding the crest of a wave which I believe would have seen him through, instead due to a lack of experience 'compared to Taylor' he'll feel every emotion going and wonder WTF is this all about. He'll move on because it's an experience he can work to his favour in the future.

Well done Phil.
After hitting that double 8 you deserved it because that was real pressure.

Barney looks good
Needs to get to final to secure prem league. Don't think his darts can justify a wildcard

Well done Phil. After hitting that double 8 you deserved it because that was real pressure. He's going to have to up his game big time to win the tournament. That said - he can up his game!

Barney looks good Needs to get to final to secure prem league. Don't think his darts can justify a wildcard Not looking so good now. Both players are quite erratic though - is anyone's game. I was wondering about him in the Premier League - surely one of the wild cards goes to the reigning champion? But maybe not, there's plenty of quality players who are looking for a place.

Well done Phil. After hitting that double 8 you deserved it because that was real pressure. He's going to have to up his game big time to win the tournament. That said - he can up his game! There will always be moments in matches where your opponent is having a stormer by hitting everything but the main thing is that you maintain a belief that you're better and that he won't keep it up and then stamp your authority when he does. You're right Taylor will have to up his game and you're right in what you say he can up his game and I believe he'll do exactly that - up it. When a match is at it's potential half way stage in that it's 3-3 or 4-3 then it becomes a pressure game and who handles it better. All that are left in it at the moment are all capable in taking the title, cannot rule anyone out at all.

Top 6 and one each to sky and pdc Barney sells tickets but his 16th ranking doesn't justify a pick However you are right he is the reigning champion. And they would never envisage a champion outside top 6. If he gets the pick 7th or 8th in the world would be pissed off. Last year wade was 7th I think and missed out to barney and Thornton I believe

In fact mate barney is already confirmed
The competitors were announced on 1 January 2014 following the Ladbrokes World Darts Championship final, with the top four players from the PDC Order of Merit to be joined by six Wildcards.[3][4] The tournament format is identical to that of 2013, whereby after nine weeks the bottom two players are relegated. All players play each other once at that point. The remaining eight will then compete against each other in the final six rounds for the play-offs places.
