Wow, doom and gloom on here - Moses is out for a while, but we do have Arnie and Ossie, both of whom should be more than capable of filling his boots IF on form. As for spending, what was Hughes supposed to say - we have £5m to spend in January? We always keep our cards close to our chests on funds available, so as not to get bled dry by prospective sellers. We do need a centre half, and Hughes must see that. We need to find one that fits our budget and fits our team. Often January buys are panic buys, and sellers want over the odds for any of their regulars. The best business is definitely done in the summer, but I think our need is urgent, so it's up to Cartwright and his lads to uncover a gem. Maybe Hangaland or however it's spelt would fancy it in jan. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past his best - I'd prefer a cheeky loan bid for Matija Nastasic from Man City, seemingly the forgotten man over there now, yet excellent under Mancini. We would not have the cash for a permanent deal, I reckon, but we could, at least put him in the shop window for a summer sale, when we can then look for a permanent signing who would fit our budget. As we are only allowed 2 domestic loans, that would mean we would have to sign Moses, but surely he has already shown he is worth our pursuing. A further loan thought is Kurt Zouma at Chelsea (what a great middle name - Happy!), who can continue his education in the English game with us, after we pay several millions to them for Moses.

I'm thinking that Stoke could be in deep shit now, I really do.
What do you think the chances are of Mourinho letting us swap Moses for someone else?
ok, it was just a thought .....

Gutting. So disappointed with this news. Unreal the amount of injuries we've sustained this season, we're a good side when fit but we've gotta start being able to break defensive units that come to the Brit down. Hope to god not getting a settled side out won't be our undoing. Now more sides are coming to us with the game plan of sitting back defending, we're gonna need all the creative players we've got.

Dunno about Arnie but it's certainly time for one fucker to step up to the plate. Couldn't agree more 'sheik'! Can't keep spending nothing window after window after window. Teams that do that like Bolton end up in the Championship! Bolton is a very stark reminder of how self sufficiency can go very wrong.

Probably already been said but I can't be arsed trawl the thread. We hardly ever had injuries when Mr pulis was in charge. Wonder what goes on in fitness training these days

Benji right again no news equals bad news as forecast puts that curly Wakefield bloke and his team to shame Should know know more today yesterday your having a laugh.
While I'm at it also forecast no new signings in the widow I sept
Next expect a sale in jan to fund a few moves to stave off the drop
Before you start no pleasure in being right but the pattern is emerging clearly now

What has a weather forecast (load of sensationalist bull by the way according to the Met Office forecast for the next two weeks) got to do with Moses. Ah sorry Stoke have invoked the wrath of God etc. No doubt he was found floating in the River Nile in a papyrus boat.

Bad news but unlike when we first got into the premiership we do have a very good squad in most areas and shouldn't get too down about it.
a starting 11 of
.........................Bego.....................
Bards.......Ryan..........Wilson...Eric
..............NZonzi..........Whelan........
Walters..............Bojan.............Arno
..........................Diouf.....................
Isn't a bad first 11. Just a case of swapping Moses pace for Arnos technique and flair.

Wonder what goes on in fitness training these days Apart from the times Mama (three times), Higgy and Huth did their knees, Ethers pulled his hamstring, Ric tore his achilles, Wilko had several niggles or Tommy Sorenson pulled out of games several times just prior to kick off, no, we never had any injuries.

I think we must have upset someone in higher places. We have a squad that could conceivably have challenged the top six this season. we will probably have to settle for the mid-table position we are used to. Odemwingie, Huth , Moses and a smattering of 3 to 6 week injuries to key players, and it is only November!!! The biggest problem in my view is that we do not have creative pace in the team without Moses and Odie. It is like Liverpool without Sturridge and Suarez. I hope we fare better than the bin dippers. Could the young lad from Blythe Bridge come into contention? Your thoughts?

Absolutely gutted.
Big big blow for us.
He's been a cut above the rest for us this season.
What a downer that's put me on.

Shit news. I'm more confident than most that Arnie will now come into the side and start to fire again like last season though. It could be a lot worse it could be Ryan facing a spell on the sidelines.

I don't think self sufficiency led to their demise, shit management more like.Bolton are in massive debt due to paying to high wages etc. They have never been self sufficient.

If you're pinning your hopes on Arnie saving the day you'll be extremely disappointed.
I'd play Assaidi, Muniesa or Diouf out wide before I'd play Arnie
