Hi Guys,
I have 2 glazed, wooden internal doors that need to be painted. Anybody on here have any recommendations?
I want them painted white (obviously un-painted at the min as they were hung brand new).
Would obviously try myself, but there is 6x glazed panels in each and want them to be done to a really good standard.

Are Peakes painters and decorators in Stoke still up and running?

Cover with masking tape, give a few coats of undercoat 'I use emulsion', sand it down using a fine sandpaper in-between coats and then give it a thin coat or two of top quality gloss. Easy peasy.

Jacko from Brush Strokes. Took him forever to finish the job but you had a right laugh in the meantime.

It's easy for some, but for some impossible. Doing a good job glossing a door requires quick, long brush strokes, with decreasing pressure. My wife is crap! Paint "runs" everywhere, paint over the brush handle, paint effin everywhere. For good glossing skills, you either have it or you haven't.

It can be difficult but nothing like practice on an old piece of wood. Oh and get a top quality brush too. I was glossing my door when I kept hearing a tapping noise and couldn't figure out what it was, that is until the fcuking brush fell apart and all the bristles fell onto the glossed area.

The OP I assume doesn't have top quality brushes, or the desire to acquire the skills. So, anyone know any good painters?

So, I offer advice on how to do them because he didn't exactly say that he wasn't going to do them. You really are an irritating little twat.

Not a problem. Just a Shame you're a big man because I felt quite intimated.
