Agree re an additional CB to play alongside Ryan is the priority - unlikley Huth will return to his best or at all
Then try and select the same players around him
Bego will also benefit from a stable back 4 in front of him,.
Leaking goals early on in the game invited Burnley to try and protect the lead which they managed to do
We looked asleep for 15 minutes or so

It's too quiet to listen too! Just tried the tablet and now moved to the laptop - just can't hear :-(.
Want to listen while doing the washing up - but far too quiet!

Chelsea have top class players, Mourinio makes sure they are up for it every match,I.e, Chelsea 2-0 WBA, really on our players they shouldn't need motivating

Russ - you've been on about that "group of players" who aren't committed before. Name and shame them please.
It wasn't about commitment yesterday - it was down to poor finishing and poor set pieces.

Let's wake up and smell the coffee we are in the mix with the rest of the teams down there and if we continue to defend like we did yesterday we'll lose many more home games..We have got to go and get another centre half and fast. The next set of games are very concerning and we need to up our game if points are to follow.

It's far too harsh to judge yesterdays defence though. We had 3 fit defenders - one of which had only got back from the States the day before. No time for drilling and getting them organised

The facts are they sat back at 2-1 and we never ever looked like breaking them down,,we can have all the possession in the world but there is no cutting edge, none at all

I honestly think that everyone is going overboard on yesterdays result. A very poor first twenty minutes, which probably defined the match. After that, I thought that Stoke played well really.

Hi there... some thoughts from yesterday's match ... if what you need is to break a poor run then go and play Stoke ... Burnley had just scored 6 goals in their previous entire 11 games in the Premier League since getting promoted ... then they go and score two (a third of their tally) against Stoke away!! ... and Burnley had not won 2 games in a row (... mind you Stoke haven't yet this season either). Guess what ... Liverpool are having a terrible run ... but they must be heartened their next game is against Stoke! ... Mark Hughes needs to address how to tackle home games against the so-called lesser sides ... now it's happened 3 times with defeats against A Villa, Leicester and Burnley. We give away silly goals and then we just give ourselves too much to do to recover the situation. We must not kid ourselves but this year the league is so tight that we might live to regret these home points we're throwing away. ... Russ was talking about our poor crosses ... i cannot agree more ... I was watching with my son and we were so frustrated with Arnautovic ... his crossing was abyssmal no wonder he's out of the side. ... by the way Gareth is very off-mic ... maybe he can come closer to your mic Angela or Russ... cheers!

Tony did this Tony did that yet it is Hughes does this Hughes does that. Pulis has gone, no use looking backwards and Pulis lost to some poor teams as well. we weren't to bad after the first 20 mins, poor defending till then.

As posted elsewhere we are in a three year transition, had a good start and can counter attack. Still need to learn how to break down packed defences. We are inconsistent, beating teams we are expected to lose against and losing to those we are expected to beat. I describe it a bit like learning to juggle, we are unable to keep all the balls in the air at present. When we concentrate on one skill we fall down on another. We will get there and we haven't been helped by all these injuries, many self imposed in training. We will be OK this season and continue to improve, still believe we will finish top ten. Missing Odem more than anyone else but thankfully Bojan is coming good, he and Arnie will become a great partnership as they both have great footballing brains and the technical ability to use it.

Does anyone remember the Ying Tong Song? (The Goons). Tiddlie po I was on about the part when someone runs down the corridor (faint sound), then runs back up (big sound) ... etc ... I had visions of Ange on a canter for the Ladies, in a hurry, starting to lift her skirt in readiness ... You don't have to read this one out
