Hello All,
Leaving our seats yesterday walking through the concourse under the main stand there was a fan lying on the ground. He obviously needed some assistance, does anyone know of how they are.

Was he a Burnley supporter with a 'head injury'?

Did you just walk past hoping that someone else would help him?

Did you just walk past hoping that someone else would help him? Like most people. I'm not suggesting the OP did just walk on past even though no-one else was trying to help the bloke on the floor but the wording of the post suggests they might have done.

The concourse was like an ice rink yesterday. I thought the new covering would be slip proof!

The concourse was like an ice rink yesterday. I thought the new covering would be slip proof! It is apparently slip proof against any liquid but tears!

The concourse was like an ice rink yesterday. I thought the new covering would be slip proof! My grandson slipped on it yesterday and today I emailed Anthony Emmerson, the SLO, about it and got this response from him Hi Malcolm, I'll get straight onto this tomorrow and get a response to you from the facilities team. I'm glad your grandson is ok, but I'm worried by the 'what ifs' and will address this as a priority for all fans. Sincere apologies to you and your family. Enjoy your Sunday (best not to read the sports pages of today's publications!) Anthony

Let's hope someone did stop. Several fans were assisting him when I passed. I told a steward who immediately summoned the nearby St.John's.

My 5 year old went absolutely flying as we went in. Not one for blame culture but that concourse in the Family Stand gets packed and thank god it wasn't half time by the toilets when it happened.
Like an absolute ice rink.

I've never had an issue with it to be fair. Nice pair of Adidas Samba's do the trick... EDIT: Actually that's a lie. I once did slip over but the Samba's were nowhere to be seen. New Balance crap.

It was very slippy in the concourse area yesterday in the main stand and the last time this happened the club put something down to help the situation but this didn't happen yesterday.

We were in the main stand early and it looked to us that the floor had recently been washed and not dried out properly. It was extremely slippy and I am not surprised that others fell over. Hopefully, the club will have taken note and ensure that it is sorted for the next game.

Only stoke could use a non stick floor paint and somehow make the floor slippier. Beggars belief

I think it might have been the Swansea game in October, I saw Nello walking in with a stick. He slipped on the wet floor and nearly came a cropper, just about recovering without falling over thanks to someones helping arm. Do something about it Stoke, before a big claim comes in.

I couldn't believe how slippery the floor was yesterday.
I hope the club are pursuing whichever contractor was responsible, before some poor fan sues the club for a nasty injury caused by slipping.
