Then who do you want in?
I want Hughes to stay, I think Coates' statement that 3 years is the right length of time to judge someone is about right and I also think a club should, barring disaster, wait till the summer before changing managers as the good managers won't be available.
I just can't help but feel that 9th was as good a finish as we could ever hope for barring big spending.
I've really enjoyed the last season and a bit under Hughes, I like the way we play now. It does seem like there's a growing amount of fans who are losing patience, so I'm just wondering who they want in?

Simple. The messiah and main man- Tony Pulis. He should never have gone. Can't stand this shower any longer.
Send me a PM if you're interested in a cheap (free) season ticket...

Huh? What have I missed? Who wants Hughes gone? Maybe I misinterpreted some of the whinging? But there does seem an awful lot of it for a team that is mid table? I'm just going off what I've seen on Facebook and Twitter rather than here to be fair. Maybe I'm wrong, I'm just curious to see what people's expectations are, as I can't see us progressing from 'frustratingly inconsistent' any time soon unless we buy 2 or 3 players for good money, and I'm struggling to see why there's booing every time we lose?

Im fucked off with Sparky tonight, but some here are jumping the gun a bit. Cant anyone remember the fact that we ended up with our highest points total, best position and inspired signings made on a shoestring (such as odemwingie and Arnie (of last season)), all whilst overhauling our style of play and trying to flog the dead meat of the Pulis reign? I think not. Alright, this season has been incredibly frustrating so far, but give the poor guy a fucking chance.
If he did go though (although not before at least a few more top 10 finishes, more rebuilding and maybe a cup), I would have to say that Sean Dyche or Eddie Howe would be my first 2 choices, with Dych being my first purely down to the fact that he has managed prem football now. Knowing the way we work though, we'd probably end up with Owen Coyle, Avram Grant or Gary Megson.

I'll back him until the last day. A great man and a great manager who will do great things here.

Quite reassuring to see so many people sticking up for him, I honestly thought we had another Rimmer/Wanker phase coming up from the crowd reaction at the end of the. match.

We are a mid table side and will finish mid table.
im 100% happy with what he is trying to do and I think 99% of other stoke fans are also.

What Hughes needs to do is take a look at why the players went out like they did in the 1st 20 minutes of the game and not for the 1st time this season either. They came out like their lives depended on it and as a result of that won the game in that period. The first time he got out of his seat was after their 2nd goal went in.WOEFUL day yet again against a team of journeymen who put their bodies on the line like we once did.
