Is it true Vale players do their shopping at food banks?

Used to see N'Zoni and Ireland in Prestbury Co-Op most mornings when I worked there (in Prestbury, not the Co-Op).
Not Stoke-related but when I lived in Sheffield you could guarantee that a forlorn-looking Carlton Palmer would be shuffling round the aisles of Somerfield on Ecclesall Rd no matter what time of day or night you went in there. I think he might have been hoping they'd offer him a job.

Nigel Gleghorn in the Sale branch of Tesco. Brian Talbot going into the Leeds Building Society in Newcastle. Simon Stainrod loitering outside the NatWest, also Newcastle.

Once saw Pennant in Tesco's - he went racing down the wide aisle, sidestepped the baskets only cashier and swerved out the side door. Left his trolley in the car park though.
I'll get me coat.

Not supermarket related but current - Peter Crouch stopped in traffic on Deansgate (Manchester) yesterday. Amusingly enough what caught my attention was a bloke trying unsuccessfully to get his daughter to sit in her car seat before the lights changed. She was having none of it bouncing up and down on the seat waving gleefully out of the window. Wasn't the best parenting you'll ever witness in your life but when the guy finally looked up and I realised it was Crouchy, I had to smile. He knew he'd been clocked but fair play to him he smiled about it.

I'm not part of the sl&p crew honest! Also saw Gazza in Boots Heathrow airport but that's for another thread.. :-)

Bloody hell, all of these sightings. I once saw Bruce Forsyth in Ocean Terminal in Hong Kong - but that was 47 odd years ago .... nobody of note since. (not that Brucie is of any note or anything.... )
