I think that despite being at home this will be a harder game than yesterday Burnley will close us down all day.

Yes the break helps avoid complacency. Should be a good game

This will be another Villa and Leicester, a team coming to the Brit to make it hard for us and defend all day with men behind the ball. We need to show we have learnt from those games and are more than just a counter-attacking team. The edge Bojan is now giving us may just make the difference.

Give Bojan the freedom of the park, let him do his Messi-like thang all over their ass... :-)
Yes, they'll probably come and park the bus but I think yesterday has showed we're much cuter now than when we met Villa and Leicester.
Draw them out, quick give and goes down the middle, out to the wings, hit the bye-line and then cut it back to the edge of the box - BOOM - Bojan hattrick !!!
Simples... :-)

Be great to see the little magician Bojan get another start whilst he's starting to find his feet! I'm gutted I can't make this as I'm in Dublin! Is there anywhere in Dublin I could watch this live? Most of the group I'm with are Stokies.

We'll probably find it tougher than Spurs away. If they sit back we could struggle to break them down.
Hopefully a bit of magic from Bojan or Moses will be the difference.
It won't be an easy game.

Bloody hate the games where we're expected to win as they rarely end up how you'd like them to be. You'd hope that we'd turn up and perform like we did yesterday and run out quite comfortable winners by three or four but you just know it'll be a pain in the arse.
We'll probably concede and have to fight back to draw or win or just about scrape a 1-0 with a shit goal where everyone has underperformed.
I'd love to confidently say we'll destroy them but we won't.

We need to get an early goal in this one, Burnley wont be able to sit back then and hope for a break.

The obvious option is to pick the same team again, but Burnley will sit back waiting for their own break as Leicester and Villa did. Stoke will have few opportunities for Moses, Diouf, and Bojan to run at them.
I'm thinking this may be a game to have Crouch playing up top and lumping the ball to him and using the guile of Adam. My reservation about this approach is that whilst Crouch made an impression against Villa when he came on, he was not effective against Leicester. In the Leicester match Bojan did not impress, but he has come a long way since then and now a Crouch/Bojan striker pairing may work.
Stoke still need to improve on set pieces. They are not threatening from corners and I expect them to get a lot of corners and free kicks against Burnley. Defending corners has improved; now that the CBs are expending less effort holding the opponents, they are actually winning the ball more and clearing it better IMO.
This is a game for using the attacking options, so I'd be tempted to go with Cameron and Muniesa as FBs.
It will be interesting to see how MH approaches team selection for this match. Hopefully his injury list will have decreased and not be exacerbated by internationals.

We'll probably concede and have to fight back to draw or win or just about scrape a 1-0 with a shit goal where everyone has underperformed. I'd love to confidently say we'll destroy them but we won't. I know exactly what you mean, it's never easy to predict Stoke matches and never has been in my lifetime. We all Know that following Stoke City is not good for our health sometimes, and even when I was in the pub on Sunday and we were 2-0 up, most of us still expected to come away disappointed, especially when they got one back! I guess that's what you sign up to as a Stoke fan. But Roy Keane, and more recently Jose Mourinho and Adebayor, have spoken out about stadium atmosphere and grounds being full of supporters who think they have a right to win every week. They are all absolutely right to say what they say and more. I went to Stamford Bridge on many occasions between 2006 and 2008 due to work commitments, and the atmosphere was toss. There was far too much complacency from the terraces, because they thought they had a divine right to win, so all you got from the Chelsea fans was negativity when they couldn't break teams down or score. It was bloody awful to listen to, and despite the fact that I would like to see Stoke win every game, I thrive on the unpredictability. It's why we still have the best and loudest fans in the country and why supporters from other clubs and media often comment about their visits to the Brit. No prawn sandwich eaters here Roy, and that's just how we like it!! PS .... Roy Hodgson, if you feel the need to call Harry Kane up to your already leaderless team, you'll find him in the right hand back pocket of our fantastic captains shorts.

As others have saidvI doubt very much Burnley will come and open up. They will try to keep solid and look for an opportunity to nick one. What we have to is drop Bojan right into thier chiken coup and see if we can get them flapping...if so we can pick them off. The team just have to be patient and when we get a break be clinical. If Steve Sidwell can carry his form through to the Burnley match I can only see a comfortable home win.
Gooooarrnnnn Stoke

if we perform in the same manner that we did v the hammers and spuds we will win this game easily having seen bojan on sunday burnley will be shitting themselves so expect bojan to be closely monitored by two burnley players, what we have to do is make sure we exploit any gaps left open with them concentrating on bojan.[maybe an opportunity for arnie or assaidi?]

Obviously we'll be all over them and lose 1-0, BUT a perfect game would be unchanged starting line up from the one which ran the game so well (Cameron and Muni to start), Diouf and Bojan to get a couple each, 4-0 with an hour gone, get Assaidi Adam and Arnie some much needed game time and Arnie to get the 5th from an Assa cross after an Adam through ball Into the tricky looking run of games with a 1.5 point per game average and positive goal difference, injured players coming back to add to competition, and some of those tricky looking teams being a bit wank. Shame we have to wait 10 days

We haven't beaten anyone in the bottom half of the table, things will have to change to win. Certain amount of complacency in the team and the crowd.

Will be a tough game after their win at the weekend.
I'm glad of the international break as it gives our injured lads time to recover and takes a bit of their positive momentum out of the equation.
As long as we win, that'll do for me.

Will be tough this, imperative we get the first goal as we'll relax and go on to win comfortably I'm sure of it. No silly mistakes at the back, that's the key it's how pretty much all the goals we've conceded at home this season have come about.
