I love a good hard tackle as much as the next man (it was meant to sound as gay as it does) but that wasn't a "hard sliding tackle" as you call it. It was a two footed off the floor lunge of the highest order Nah come on Sid cracking effort to win the ball, those kind of things used to get the Vic rocking in the day full bloodied commitment As far as I can remember those kind of challenges have never been acceptable have they? It's a horrible challenge and only by sheer luck has Mullgrew not been injured there.

Many years ago Sid he would have got a yellow but not now it was by todays standards a red, I seen some cracking challenges over the years. Think back to Norman Hunter or later Mickey T, even Kamara and Vinny Jones were not shy in throwing challenges about but granted thats as bad a tackle I've seen for a long time.

I've read some bollocks on this site but some of the comments on this thread take it to a new level. This MB would be up in arms if that tackle was on one of our lads.... More like football has become a non contact women's game, no wonder some americans think it's a pussy sport. Because fairies like them at arsenal have a cry about being touched.

Potter most are in jest mate not serious clearly but I guessed you missed the joke. But there is no denying fooball has gone soft over the years and some primadonas rolling around make me puke.

I'm too young to have seen Hunter live but I certainly remember the others. Kamara was a nasty bastard on the pitch, which is hard to believe when you see him on telly these days,he's puddled as piss; )

Nasty. What's even nastier is how the fuck are Celtic drawing with a team that were recently in the Romanian Second Division? The Romanian Second Division is a better league than the SPL.

And you congratulating him on a great tackle

No, I didn't miss the joke. I agree it has gone soft, but that tackle is a joke. I don't think that all the posts are written in 'jest' as you suggest
