Bastards on the road. They think they have road laws to themselves, 2 by 2 in the middle of country lanes. They forgot they have to go to the side, they use the middle of the fecking road, clogging and slowing up the traffic. They swerve all over the show They weave in and out of traffic, you need eyes in the back of your head

You should check your mirror every 8secs. I'm not saying that I do, but since Sir Bradley did the do I am far more alert to cyclists, cause they're everywhere.

Cyclists have "right" to be on the road.
Motorists, on the other hand, do not have a "right" to be on the road. They have to qualify.

As a cyclist myself there are some plums out there that ride and give some of us bad names however there are also plenty of awful drivers who don't know how to pass a cyclist.

Some cyclists are worth staying behind, even when they are waving you past.

As for swerving all over the road you need a good metre of road to avoid pot holes and thick cunts who open their doors without looking.

As a cyclist and car driver I'm afraid we will all have to accept there are good cyclists and car drivers who follow the rules of the road and bad cyclists and car drivers who would prefer to do there own thing.

Obviously I can't speak for every cyclist but realistically the guy on the bike is the one in a vulnerable position and personally I know its really not clever to antagonise a car in case its being driven by a psychopath. How long can a bike realistically hold you up anyway? Not trying to paint cyclists as perfect by the way - poor riding and poor driving are both caused by the human traits of being inconsiderate and most of all impatient.

I always wonder why they don't use cycle lanes. Stanley Matthews Way is a prime example. Councils waste money putting different coloured tarmac down, putting up signs and additional markings, yet very few cyclists bother to use them. all seems a bit of a waste of time, effort and money.

The one up the A34 from Stone is shocking and Im more liable to be injured using that than the road. The thing is too narrow for a start and unlike roads cycle paths aren't cleaned regularly by road sweepers so all sorts of debris lies strewn across them. At the end of my estate in Stone there's a cycle path which is roughly 5ms long which directs you across the road to another stretch of cycle path also 5m long which actually leads nowhere. Its obvious that the local council get either :- x number of pounds to create cycle paths and they had to use the money or lose it or they like to boast that their area has x number of metres of cycle path and this pointless 10ms allows them to add to that.

When you are driving along a road that has a cycle lane marked out, and you are about to make a left turn, how often do you check that the cycle lane is clear for you to make that left turn? Cycle lanes can be dangerous places for cyclists - it is often safer to adopt "prime position" on the road.

Cyclists should be compelled to have insurance and to abide by the same laws and rules of the road as everyone else who uses the Queen's highways IMHO.....
Wouldnt tar all riders with the same brush but the tosser who came piling down the canal towpath after the Leicester match when there was dozens of homeward bound Stokies actually expected everyone to jump into the hedge or dog dirt laden verge so he could pass straight up the middle without slowing down was really lucky he didn't stop to remonstrate as he was invited to - he and his bike would have been taking a dip ........a complete ignorant arsehole......

Unlike the roads which are smooth as babies bums. Lol very true, but most roads have a smooth bit somewhere even if its in the middle, hence why some cyclist will be in the middle of the road.
