I just don't get why cards collected in different competitions have to count for others, take Crouches Red card and Bardsleys yellow both causing us suspensions. Both collected in an entirely different competition than the bans were collected. Why can't something be done whereas if you get 2 yellows in a cup competition then you get banned for the next match in that competition even if it has to be carried over to the next season, and 2 matches for 2 yellows resulting a red in a match, 3 matches for a straight red. Gouranga.

Crouch would have to wait a year to serve his then?I don't think this will ever happen.

Works this way internationally doesn't it? Just thinking back to the Euros when Shrek was red carded in September (?) his ban wasn't completed until the following June in the tournament...

This set me wondering when red and yellow cards first came in and it was at the 1970 World Cup.
Anyone remember them going out again for 6 seasons and why? I don't.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> For a period between the 1980/81 and 1987/88 season the use of red and yellow cards was suspended in the Football League.

He would of only been banned in the cup had we advanced, but because we didn't, the suspension takes place in the league
