I just don't get it, I really don't. Paying large amounts of money to see your team, only to leave 15/10/5 minutes before the end just avoid 10/15 minutes traffic. Especially evident on Wednesday, it could have even gone to extra time.

I know what your saying but people pay there money and its down to personal preference/ circumstances.
Me personally I always stay to the end.

i personally don't leave early but......
if you leave 10-15 minutes early then you miss out on significantly more than just 10-15 minutes worth of traffic!!!
basics really...leave 15 mins early and have about 100 cars to get stuck behind or leave at the end and get stuck behind thousands.
many people (especially during mid week) may well have other plans/need to get their kiddies home before 10pm (not everyone lives in Stoke ya know) etc. etc.
we have these threads quite often and i'm always confused why other people even care anyway, in what way does it affect anyone else exactly?

I think people care because we all have a gene in us which makes us want to feel we have been a part of something which is a success.
The sight of hundreds of folks heading for the exit gates and rows of empty plastic seats before the occasion is even over do anything but engender that warm feeling of something which went well regardless of the outcome.

I'm really glad someone has brought his up, it needs discussing. Agreed. It is amazing that we have never had a single thread on the subject for years weeks days hours. As I said on the other threads that we have not had, I can think of many good reasons to leave a game early - shift workers, trains to catch.last bus home, relieve the baby sitter etc. etc. What I can't accept is that people decide to leave early, and then change their mind and stand in the aisle blocking my view of the game unless I stand up and block the view of the (even older) bloke behind me. The stewards should do their job and eject those standing in the aisle towards the end of the game - and take their names and details so that repeat offenders can have their season ticket taken away for a game or two.

Well like it or fucking not, I'll be leaving at 4.35 on Saturday as I have another commitment.
I'd rather 75 mins of Stoke than not.

I was absolutely furious on Wednesday night when as soon as Pelle scored people (mainly in the Q railing) were essentially running out the stadium, no problem with people going to avoid traffic, get a train, get kids home etc. But these people would have stayed for ET yet couldn't get out quick enough when Southampton were celebrating.
This annoyed me as much as the result and refereeing,

You pay your money if you want to leave early that's up to you, just as people buy season tickets but don't attend all the matches. I don't see why anyone gets wound up about it. Gouranga.

If they want to leave, they should leave, and stop blocking people who want stay from watching. Like the earlier poster said, the stewards should be doing their job.

Mind you, we both agreed it was shit and we're still together some 4 and a half years later... So the moral of the story is shit films bring people together!!

Yeah I think I'm with you on that one to be fair. The question is, what was the film? Might have some magical qualities It was Buried, the one with Ryan Reynolds in. Not much of a first date film but I seem to remember there was absolutely nothing else on. We were both pretty disappointed at the film considering it had been praised in the media. Still, a few drinks in Revs later and we were feeling much better
