???? What utter shit! I am never happy after a loss. I really don't care a shit what you or anyone else thinks of me for having an opinion. I think hughes is shit, I think our football is shit and the sooner hughes is gone the better for me however I do not want us to lose just to help get rid. What sort of supporter would want that? Give your head a wobble. Do you actually read what you type before posting mate? You think the manager and the football is shit that got us to our best ever PL finish, highest points, more goals, better away record, 6th best home record, and want to go back to the filth served up prior to May 2013? Mind-boggling stuff mate. better away record ? do tell?

So what's the solution then, sell every decent player we ever possess the moment they suffer a dip in form? Have you thought this through? I'd rather stand by them and give them the opportunity to come good. We saw the benefits of that last season when Arnie went from faltering and frustrating to absolutely sublime. I'm assuming you were one of the section of fans on his back last year? The moment they suffer a dip in form then persevere but not to the extent of persevering with them time after time after time because they've had long enough 'particularly Ireland and Arnie' to at least show an extended run of form. It's taking the fcuking piss that they're being allowed in continuing to perform so bloody woeful. Jon Walters, 0-4 Chelsea, 2 OGs, missed penalty

No one will ever be better than Boskamp so all this moaning about TP etc is pointless anyway.

'Thinly disguised glee' Mick, as predicted a couple of weeks ago. Denied vehemently at the time I don't see people posting on here that they hope we lose under Hughes as happened under the previous manager. When we approach those levels of 'glee', then we will know we have hit rock bottom. Again. The phrase you're looking for is that you have to break a few eggs to make an omlette. The point some of us made is TP would rather use one of those meat tenderiser-hammer things to make an omlette, rather than an egg-whisk, and it would ultimately be futile and rather shit to watch.

I really don't know which way things will turn from here.
Hughes served up 6 months of fairly shambolic stuff last season which saw us bottom 3 on February 1st.
We then had 3 storming months which saved our bacon and saw us creep in the top half in a desperately tight middle portion of the league.
We all hoped everything had clicked in to place and those 3 glorious months may become the new normal.
However 6 months later we are being served up the same sort of patchy stuff we had at the start of last term.
With a burgeoning injury list building up and the next dozen or so fixture seeing us locking horns with last seasons top 6 on I think 9 occasions I'm mentally prepared for another flirtation with the bottom 3 on and just after Xmas.
We will all need to fasten our seat belts and hope we can pull away from there as the quality of the opposition eases again.
Honestly I think survival will always be the top priority for the football club in the Premier whosoever is coach.

Again. You might have noticed a little pocket of the last redoubt practically falling over themselves in excitement at our current patchy form. Small in number they me be but in fairness more than the singular example you are dining out on. I don't recall any bell end having a picture of the previous former manager on their signature line over a year after the event and compounding it with a call for the current managers head alongside the minute our highest Premier League finish standard slips. Fuck me, even the people who ended up yearning for the Pulis drudgery to cease supported him for a couple of years until his true colours turned them off! You're talking about one nutter and for the record it was more than one person who wished we lose under Pulis and it was within three months of his second stint, not a couple of years! 3 fucking months! Now there's loyalty. All posted without sanction from Admin on this madhouse, presumably because they shared similar views!

This thing about us going into the bottom three on February 1st - whilst technically true - isn't quite correct. We were 16th on the morning of the Man United match and 11th by the end of that round of fixtures. That's all there really is to it. And I really don't think anybody expects the form we showed since that game to be the new norm. If it was we'd be knocking on the door for a top 6 place.

If Victor had a sized 10 shovel, he would always be halfway to Oz. He's fucking ace at digging holes... at digging holes... at digging holes... Tazi, on the other hand, has never forgiven the club because he had to redecorate after he'd removed all the Pulis memorabilia. Especially the large framed picture of his hero that stood above the fireplace. (Am having fun, Taz. You stick to you Pulis guns, fella. This board would be like the Kalahari Desert without you on here. Comparethemeekat.com. PMSL.) Meanwhile, Gods does a Daily Mail article... ergo: We then had 3 storming months which saved our bacon and saw us creep in the top half in a desperately tight middle portion of the league.Dramatic stuff that is. I was hanging on to the edge of my keyboard while I was reading that. It was a bit like being in the butcher's in winter. OS.

If you look at the 2010/11 season when Mark Hughes was at Fulham there is evidence of the slow start his sides make, but the astonishing turnaround after Christmas.
Record at end of December 2010:
P 19 W3 D10 L6 PTS 19
Record from January 1st 2011:
P 19 W8 D6 L5 PTS 30.
It is very unusual for any team, especially PL teams, to make such a disappointing start to a season and then pick up in this fashion in the second half, it also happened at Stoke last year so I think we can be quietly confident of a repeat.

that van was an embarrassment to every fair minded stoke city supporter. i was tony pulis biggest fan[and am still eternally grateful for everything he has done for our club]but mh came here and he deserved a chance.he proved everyone wrong last season yet everytime we have a bad result[sunderland away or letting a 2 goal lead v west ham slip]people come on here demanding action or even sacking the manager, it beggars belief.yesterday was one of the finest away performances i have seen from a stoke side for a long long time.we wont allways reach those heights but imo the team deserve our unwavering support. next 2 games are deffo winnable and if we perform as well as we have in our last two games i am confident that we can do well. burnley are poor [we still have to put a shift in to beat them though]and liverpool are going backwards this could be our best chance ever of coming back from anfield with 3 points.[just hope that deluded prick brenda is still manager when we play them]
