Cost us the match, 2 definite yellow cards and the second gave Mason no alternative but to show him red. Gouranga.

Stupid fouls against a team that was taking every opportunity to make the most of them. They played well but are a scummy lot.

fuck right off. Crouch has been brilliant this season and always gives 100%. Try saying that about the likes of Arnie or Bojan. Its a wankfest every time arnie does a backflip to no one but crouch makes a mistake, One mistake and theres threads everywhere and words like wanker, tosser, cunt all over social media. Shamefull.

The first half performance was the worst in the managers reign and perhaps for a decade. Nothing to do with Crouch.

He not only got a second yellow he gave away the free kick we conceeded from. The thread is justified because if it was anyone else you could bet your bottom dollar there would be the same thread.

I'll have to look at them again.
What I will say that given the lack of bookings for them it looked harsh and the ref couldn't wait to get his cards out every time we committed a foul.
Thank God it didn't go to extra time or we'd be struggling to put a team out on Saturday.

The first yellow was a joke, it's barely a foul nevermind a fucking definite yellow.

Saw the second yellow on the telly and it's over the top and worthy of a yellow.
Some of the stuff Mason was letting go against Stoke's players though, particularly Diouf and right in front of us against Bardsley was a disgrace.
To quote Garry Monk, "it's cheating. He's cheated."

Some refs clearly want to be the centre of attention and the last we've had are two prime examples.

A nudge in the back compared to Diouf being shoved into the advertisements when on a charge seems ludicrous. That liner was a joke. Diouf was fouled twice and he gave nowt. Then one foul he gave for us, he was clearly facing the Boothen and couldn't have seen it. He was a clown. The Crouch foul was right in front of me and unless these people who think it's a definite yellow have seen it on tv then I've had one of the best views of it. No one could believe it was a yellow.

The first yellow was right in front of me and he caught Targett with his elbow, and Fonte was right to have a go at Mason for it. Second yellow, definate yellow, everyone's adrenaline was pumping so it was the only outcome. Silly behaviour by the big man I thought..

To be fair Mr Mason (Lancs) relied on entirely on the view of Mr Fonte (Hants) for the exact details on the first booking.

Bad indiscipline. Very costly. I know loads will take the easy way out and claim refs have got it in for us but our indiscipline is a big problem what needs to be addressed.

The first is never a yellow in a million years, it was shocking decision given by a spineless referee influenced by the ridiculous reaction of Fonte.

It looked harsh at the time but I've just seen the highlights and the second was a yellow. Dunno about the first, but based on what Southampton got away with a yellow it wasn't. I don't blame Crouch though - it was a "striker's tackle" as one of the Southampton players put it.

The first yellow was a joke, it's barely a foul nevermind a fucking definite yellow. Plus the whole incident came about because the Southampton player fouled him on the other side of the pitch 3 seconds earlier! Shit refereeing. Just a shit, shit referee. If Fabianski had to pay Sunderland's supporters for turning up at Southampton, Lee Mason should pay every Stoke supporter back and pay every Stoke player's wages this week.* *I said something slightly more intelligent on another thread.

First yellow is ultra harsh. Second is fair.
Daft. I'm hurting tonight but I'm not angry just disappointed with him.
Next round against Sheffield United, really could have won this. We're due some luck.

The twat put to waste all the good work that we put in in the second half by 2 stupid fouls the second resulting in a red card and costing us the goal all in a few minutes. Should be fined 6 months wages.Yea he has done OK this season but that doesn't mean he can do what he did tonight. I take it you blame him for the inept 1st half then, that required the effort in the 2nd half? Christ, some stoke fans make my piss boil, players will make errors in their time, there really is no need for some of the vitriol that is written. Maybe, due to the poor first half, then the sterling fight back, players like crouch were giving that extra 10%, and it can often lead to the sort of fouls that are not normally associated with players. Just a thought.

Crouch made an honest mistake, a striker's tackle. So yes he is partly responsible, but anyone calling him a twat is a disgrace the notion of 'supporter'.
It was the referee and some poor defending that cost us tonight.
That first 'foul' was never a yellow card. Happened right in front of me and I've just seen it back on TV. It was that little Targett twat play acting and then Fonte mouthing off to the ref. This is the same Fonte who quite blatantly took out Diouf right in front of the linesman and didn't get booked.
If we're throwing insults around then send them in the direction of Lee Mason.
