Him or Bardsley for me, Walters was the only one to give a shit in the first half even if he did have little impact.

N'Zonzi was our motm closely followed by Bardsley.

Walters and Bardsley were our best players - no smoking of any kind required to see that.

Diouf for me. Pretty much the only bright point of the first half.

Walters was run away man of the first half, easily the best Stoke player. However he was quieter second half Nzonzi was the other way round I thought Adam was tremendous, drive and quality. Great corners.

With the greatest respect Pugsley thats just not true - Walters put some great work in - especially in the 1st half when others were standing around looking dazed and confused. Open your mind just a little bit !

Open your mind just a little bit ! Work yes, quality no. N'Zonzi receives a rank bad pass, turns his man, runs 30 yards and slams it in the bottom corner. Walters runs around tripping over his feet, ball bouncing here there and everywhere and he's motm.

I'm no fan of Walters but he played really well tonight, tried to make things happen all the time, granted didn't always work out but he really tried!

He got about the pitch and generally did well I thought.
Having said that'd still drop him for Moses on Saturday.

Its not just 'work' is it or you or me would be out there pocketing 30K a week - the guy does good stuff (excellent run and cross in 1st half for example) - we need him big style.
We also need Nzonzi to do that more than once every 12 months - any idea why he cant find the motivation??

Awful touch, missed a sitter, worked 'ard. Standard shit from Jon.
Bardsley played well I thought. All the goals came from the left hand side. Pieters was toss, Arnie was beyond toss.

I went with two neutrals, both thought he was fucking gash. I agree with them. He did fuck all bar break up our play and run a lot.

I am absolutely sick & tired of Stoke fans slating Walters. The bloke next but one to me in the Seddon kept slagging him off to the point where I had to virtually lamp the cunt to keep him quiet.
SJW had a good game but no matter how well Walters plays in some peoples eyes he will always be shit.
That sort of bollocks helps nobody :-(

We also need Nzonzi to do that more than once every 12 months - any idea why he cant find the motivation?? Run? 2 yards and a decent cross. What about the move in the second half that cam from good passing from the left fed in to Walters - all he had to do was feed in the player on his right and he was in? Super Jon just fucking fell over the fucking ball clueless. His positioning is shocking, always behind his man making it impossible to pass to him. Effort is great and can't question his commitment but his quality is lamentable. I thought Bojan was better than Walters, and he's new to the league and played only a handful of minutes. I thought N'Zonzi was good tonight, looked to be positive, showed for the ball and used it very well. I agree he needs to do it more.

There was not much to choose from tonight to be fair, I thought fonzy was OK but the introduction of Adam could have won us the game, his drive and delivery of the ball were first class. We were a different team with him in the midfield.

So - just as an example - you are saying anyone could have buried that header against Swansea Pugsley? In fact it was a high quality piece of work as commented on by various pundits. Sorry it just doesnt wash that 2 highly experienced managers such as Pulis and Hughes both rate him (as indeed does the Ireland set up ) but apparently he cant play the game !!

The thing is he is playing in a position that demands much much more than a bit of graft. All of what you say here is true, but we are struggling to score goals and create chances and that's always going to happen with Walters playing a key role because he simply does not do either of those things.

A fully fit squad and Walters doesn't play. Hughes has brought in forwards and wide players to replace him. Not picked for Ireland as regularly now Trap has left - left out in a game against Gibralter when goals was the order of the day. Good header against Swansea though, that can't be argued.

Walters was the only one putting in the effort in the first half, and he was brilliant in the second half. Bardsley deserves a mention too.
