Yes he buggered up a few opportunities tonight. But at least he got into decent positions to get on the end of them. He's clearly short of match sharpness and confidence though.

Without doubt the most forward thinking player on the pitch, why Hughes took him off his a really piss poor piece of management.
Arnoutovich was left on the pitch, again piss poor management.

I struggled to figure out what position he was playing. One minute he was taking a short pass off bego next he was out left then out right. If he was supposed to be supporting Diouf he left him high and dry first half. Seemed to be find some influence second half and was then subbed.

Is he any more lightweight than Ireland or Assaidi? No. He just needs to be given some time to adapt to a completely different league. I felt sorry for him tonight, I bet he felt the weight of the world on his shoulders, knowing he's got to score or do something special to stand any chance of playing on Saturday. He was no where near the worst player on the pitch.

The booing was because he was brought off you idiots. He was the best player for stoke when we were on the attack Everything came through him! He ran at southampton and shit them up! With a few more games under his belt his final ball will become better! How arnie stayed on infront of him i dont no!! Try going the game!!!!!!!!!! The shit that gets put on this board is unreal. ...half term week...now it makes sense! Did you think of that reply all on your own...? Or did you copy off the other 1000 people who say it on here per day? Please try harder

He was probably booed off. As I've said before, a ny flair player is vilified by our fucking idiotic, brainwashed support that think 'Ard work is all you need to be a Premiership footballer. I hope it works out, I want it to work out, but sadly the lad probably won't get any leeway at all now, he had to score a hat-trick and get six assists in this match to get the fans off his back. Utter rubbish.

He may have lacked a final product but I thought that his movement in between the lines was fantastic, he was always looking to pick the ball up and create and chucked himself about a bit. A goal will do him the world of good.

I think he needs a bit of confidence , a bit of luck-a great pass here,a goal there and he could start to shine. A lot of our newer boys just need a little run of three or four games going our way and they can start to relax .I still think there's a really good team here - it just hasn't started to work properly as a unit yet. We do need a bit of luck, though, because heads can start to drop a bit.

Jon Walters has had more stick than probably any Stoke City player over the last few seasons, in fact he's definitely had more stick than any other player. Really bad example there i'm afraid.

He needs time, simple as that, give him time on the pitch and he will grow into it, it's easy to see that he's got something about him that we so desperately lack, he looks forward, he wants to move forward, even if it means him being a passenger for a few games it will be worth it
The longer he stays with us and keeps training with and against our bigger players and playing as much as he can, the better he will be
I stand by what i said when we signed him, give him time and he will be our best player by a mile

I'd prefer Adam for now but he showed more than Ireland has all season. He arsed up his big moment but Arnie was doing that early doors last season and came good.

Some good touches, one fab pass to Arnie first half and looked keen to not be knocked over. However the rest of his game he got all wrong, passed behind players or out of play. Messed up when he should have either shot or played Diouf in,shocking corners ,blazed his long ranger and fluffed a simple chance. Terrible game. But it's one game. More time off the bench.

He was trying so hard, so give him credit for that, but not much came off for him. He needs time to adjust to the pace and power of the English game, so let's hope he does so in time....but it may not be this season.

I didn't hear anyone boo him off. Personally, I thought he was poor tonight. His decision making is surprisingly clueless considering the pedigree he has.

Set pieces were awful tonight, never beat the first man. Technically the best player we have got and has the best forward vision in the team. Think we have not seen the best of him yet or find his true role/position in the team but give him time and he'll do well for us.

Utterly wank in the first half.
But just as he was growing into the game and looking really quite good and threatening he was hooked. I have no fucking idea what Hughes was thinking but it was a dreadful decision.

He looked very good at times but took poor corners and fluffed it at a couple of crucial moments. I liked how he was willing to get stuck in. A couple of guys near me were slating him but I didn't hear any boos when he was subbed. 7/10 for me.

I think Bojan, could be our playmaker, picking the ball up in deeper position, allowing Nzonzi to get higher up the pitch.
Begovic Cameron. Shawcross. Wilson. Muniesa
Bojan
Nzonzi. Adam. Moses
Diouf. Crouch
