I took my Uncle to his first Stoke game at The Brit last night, and although he has been a Man City fan for many years & been to plenty of games elsewhere his conclusion on Mason summed it up.
"At least he was consistent. Shit in the 1st half, shit in the 2nd too"

I watched the Man City Newcastle game, and saw far worse tackles not getting anything. One in particular was bordering on a sending off. Nothing given. Inconsistency is rabid in the game. End of. I also am convinced there is a conspiracy against our team. These decisions go against us far, far too often!

Seen the replays and can conclude that both of Crouch's were yellows. So was Adam's. The foul on Diouf should have been yellow in the context of the other bookings. The headbutt was so late that it was dangerous. The ref was poor overall IMO.

You could be forgiven for imagining a dictat for refs to reward teams playing in a certain way.

Adams was for sure, think he was angered by the fact that it was the 4th official chirping in Mason's ear to make sure he ahd seen it that irked him so much. Isn't there something in the rules about excessive force? I thought on the night the tackle on Walters was alright, a good solid tackle but maybe in the context of excessive force should have warrented a yellow. But as Southampton and the centre half were reffing the game can see why it wasn't
