What a complete an utter inept twat. He had no choice with the Crouch sending off but the other yellows and lack of yellows for Soton players was an absolute joke. Another cumstain stealing a living.

Nothing wrong with the other yellows either, Bardsley was maybe a little harsh but it wasn't his first foul.

If bardsley's foul was a yellow, why didn't gardos get booked for his headbutt on diouf? it wasn't intentionally a headbutt but it was a foul in a similar situation

Forget the ref blame the team total rubbish at times and need to find form getting fed up with the easy goals going in. The refs are allways against us it won't change football is corrupt but we helped Southampton ourselfs enough 3 simple goals.

I thought he was woeful. Can't complain about the sending off but most of his decisions were crap. Especially the bookings.
Now some Saints fan is telling me that we kicked our way back into the game and calls us a horrible team. Typical modern football fan....

I thought the tackle on Walters in the first half was a foul and a card, yes he got the ball but was out of control with studs up. If it had been a Stoke player he would have given a foul and a Yellow!

Adam, purposely kicked their player down, yellow Wilson, late, yellow Bardsley, totting up, yellow Can't see how anyone can complain about them.

I'm sorry but the red card was a joke!
Two (his only 2), nothing, none dangerous fouls, both equal a yellow card
Referees make an easy job, look hard, by not applying common sense - he ruined what was a great game for me

Can't say I can think of any where they should have got one, I've got it in my head Diouf got pulled down but the oppo didn't get a card, thats the only one I can think off, I stand to be corrected though.

Diouf got taken out second half by the touch line at the seddon as he was away down the wing. Their player got no card for the foul.
Crouch does a similar thing and gets a yellow. No consistency.

I know we are bound to be biased but how anyone can't see that we again were shafted by a ref and it happens week in week out is beyond me!

Both together equal 1 yellow, at a push! Why not warn him for the first one (It wasn't dangerous, these referee's need to realise players aren't made of glass) - then book him for the second, if he must. Like I say, apply a bit of common sense - keep the game 11 vs. 11

I agree he could have warned him, but he doesn't have to.

Nobody can say he refereed the game even handedly. No referee has bought into the 'dirty Stoke' myth more than this clown over the years, I've no idea how he escaped our ire for so long.
I briefly thought that the pumpkin headed cretin was part of the Hallowe'en decorations.

I briefly thought that the pumpkin headed cretin was part of the Hallowe'en decorations. And that's it in a nutshell. He didn't referee the game fairly. He booked Bardsley for exactly the same foul that was committed on Diouf 30 seconds earlier.

I thought the incident where he asked Bardsley to throw it out for a goal kick was shocking. We played the ball into the corner and gave them ample time to deal with it, Walters having seen them time wasting from the moment the second half kicked off decided to force them to get a move on and he had every right to do it.

Where was the yellow for Forster for time wasting that started right from our first goal? Are we picking and choosing where and how we referee to the letter of the law?

No, didn't realise it was studs up on Walters, didn't look like that at the time. Still don't think the ref was that bad though.
