..following the introduction of the new law into Association football at 4pm on 19/10/14, there was bound to be many, many penalties for holding at corners.
I sat there watching MotD but they didn't show a single penalty. How can that be?
Surely the law wasn't just introduced for Stoke City FC?

I don't have a problem with the ref's decision concerning Shawcross. It was a penalty. The problem is the inconsistency between referees over the issue of holding. It needs to be stopped. Goodness knows we suffer enough from it at the other end when defenders are all over Crouch without getting penalised

To be fair he got warned, then continued to do it. Honestly he doesn't even go for the ball his eyes are only on the man, the ref simply can't ignore it
