Didn't really turn up first half. Despite a containment tactic, they really could have had a hatful if they had their shooting boots on
Second half a bit better as he changed formation and Diouf gave a bit more presence up front
Felt a bit like Palace away last season in terms of below par performance all over the pitch except these were much better
Midfield looked lost today. Crouch too isolated. Too much hoof ball. Both fullbacks sliced apart first half. Victor had a quiet game and Arnie and Ass little impact.
Although he did not do anything wrong, we just look unbalanced with SJW on the right wing. Same mistake as early last season.
It was all a bit predictable. Would have liked to have seen Bojan given ago just for something different
Looked more compact 2nd half but still looked like we could have played all night and not score
Boy do we miss Oddie

PO was the catalyst that changed our fortunes last year. His direct running with a great natural finishing ability are sorely missed. We look a pale shadow of the team that finished last year. The football is pedestrian and dare I say quite boring. We have to improve.

Lucky sod, still stuck on a train myself You're right we were never going to score today, and memories of our poorer away perforances Definitely better with Diouf supporting Crouch, and defence-wise I would try bringing back Huth to replace Wilson How about Bojan for Adam too

Under the circumstances, we should be happy that we only let one goal in. Could be a positive result in the long term. At the moment, I cannot see us getting too high in the premiership. Still think we missed a trick not splashing more cash in the transfer window.

We were lucky not to concede more than 1 today, they hit the woodwork a few times and were close on other occasions whereas we didn't really turn up until the second half.
We needed more pace in the side from the off, I think Diouf / Arnie / Assaidi should have started instead of SJW (who tried his hardest but didn't look threatening today).
Hughes made the correct changes for me and didn't leave it too late, but we were beaten by the better side on the day and fair play to them.
