What an absolutely wanker of a chairman he sounds.
He is publicly slating Vale fans live on radio Stoke!

What an absolute bell end.
The reason you're getting 3k gates is charging nearly £30 for a tier 3 game.

What is he saying exactly? Vale fans that go away games but not home should go watch Stoke.

Vale fans have said because of the price hike at Vale park they will focus on more away games and he said that they should support another club as he does not want them supporting the Vale.
Also because some fans had said they preferred when they were winning games at the top of league 2 than losing most games at bottom if league 1, then that's what he will give them!

Presumably he's slating the stay-away fans rather than those die-hards that stump-up vast amount of cash to go and watch their useless team?

He was slagging them off when they wanted monthly payment plans for season tickets saying they should have known when they would be on sale and saved up.
While that's somewhat true, in today's debt ridden society that just doesn't happen with a lot of people any more. Any owner of a business should be prepared for that simple truth if they want to make money. It's not like you can't charge interest and arrangement fees which would make the club better off than selling them for face value only anyway!
And if the club really needs the money in June or July, what right has he got to preach about saving money for a rainy day?

If you were undecided how to spend a sizable chunk of disposable income many would c hoose not to give it to an organisation whose owner had slagged them off.

I wonder how long before they go into administration for the third or is it the fourth time?
Heard from someone close to the Fail that they are in an even worse financial state now than previous times!
With this clown in charge it is no surprise.
Sometimes the old adage of "keep your mouth shut & let everyone think you are a fool rather than open it & confirm you are one!".
Comedy gold though!

Would hate to see another football club go under but where the vale are concerned I am not so sure.Remember the couple of seasons when they were in a higher division than us and the crap we had off them? I know that the majority of vale fans would love to see us in a similar predicament as they are and we would get zero sympathy off them.Remember the Sentinel headlines after they beat us once? Pride of the Potteries my arse.

He explained his stance across several Tweets this morning. It reads like something Valiantitus used to post on TwoView (sans a BROOKER GOAL EXPLOSION)
To explain my comments yesterday have received a large number of people local to the Club state the will no longer go to home games because Chairman Ticket prices Micky Leaving Rob interim Lorne St not finished Crap Football defec to Stoke Brand of Beer Speakers to loud & so on So here is my position It costs me £1700 a game to watch the Vale I do 40 to 60 hours a week unpaid I travel 3 hours a day to get to ground Why I am putting all this effort and money trying to revive a Great Club that lost its way the gates in the old regime were higher what am I doing wrong and am I really just wasting my time effort and money and provide the football the gate dictates which in turn dictates league Division which is really mid to upper League 2 My comments were not aimed at non local Fans but those in Vale area who chose not to support financials of the Club they say they support AWAG

Trouble is in the end a fat bloke tear-arsing up and down the country to follow the club on some kind of death ride is all well and good to a point but what fans most want from their Chairman is a well thought out plan which takes the club from point A to point B and is properly financed.

What an absolutely wanker of a chairman he sounds. He is publicly slating Vale fans live on radio Stoke! I think Norm. is being a tad naïve . I can see where he is coming from , after all he has put around £2.5 m into the Vale in the past 12 months and given them a players budget competitive for the division in which they play, and he has set ticket prices based on what he thought the average gate would be ,just to break even. He has in the past, said that he does not know a lot about football if he did he would know that gates at the Vale of late have at the best been 6-7,000 and even if they were at the top of Div.1 I doubt they would get any more, so his business plan was always going to be flawed. Not looking good for our neighbours , I feel Smurf is looking for a way out. Then what?
