I didn't mind when we were characterised as the nasty ruffians from somewhere in the North (so far as journalists are concerned, everywhere above London is the North, as we all know) who kicked people and took long throws and were all round nasty types. Who can be offended by being presented as the hardest team in the country, a throwback to the days of proper football, a side who give no quarter when faced with a bunch of sissies in the opposition side. I'd be quite happy for us to be portrayed like that in the media for all of the future of football.
This latest tag though, that we're divers, is beyond the pale. It's appalling and it's a blatant lie. I don't like what Moses did, but he was at least fouled. For years now we've stood as a solitary beacon of hope against these sickening cheating pricks like Arsenal and after one indiscretion we've suddenly become the chief proponents of diving. Do Arsenal get treated like this? Do Liverpool? Do Chelsea? It's utter fucking shit and it's mud that'll stick.
This actually really, really aggravates me.

It's in the Metro, that paragon of quality journalism and in no way regarded as merely something to pass the time during the daily grind of a commute and that subsequently becomes a bit of detritus clogging up tube station platforms and buses.

You're right of course, but even if the media weren't being hypocritical dicks about this, we'd still have lost the moral high ground the next time an Arsenal or Chelsea or Liverpool player cons a penalty out of us. We'll just have to accept what goes around comes around, I guess, and I hate that.

I think we should stop having a go at this guy, remember he was educated in Souuthampton, so English is not his first language and so a little slack should be given to his ability to write or think coherently, after all last night he was probably playing with himself over a pic of MLT.

Obviously some people have it in for us despite what we've done, currently doing and trying to do.
For 93 minutes last week I witnessed one of, if not the worse officiating displays I've ever seen and they'll probably be officiating somewhere today and the mindless media call for Moses to be banned, yes right....
The bias against Stoke is unbelievable, Moses gets taken out against Newcastle and errr, that's right no penalty, no calls for retrospective bans, no media support, farcical.
I really can't believe that I clicked the link let alone replied to it as its obviously a pile of shit.

Hang on, this was written by a Southampton fan not a journalist. It's a platform which allows fans to write whatever they like, not like it's national media or anything.

Gerrard has been exaggerating or inventing contact to gain penalties for years. Imagine the outcry if Hughes called him a cheat! I thought the anti-Stoke sentiment was down to Pulis, but it has got worse since he left!
