As strange as this sounds, I've always rated Dembele as my favorite central midfielder in the premier league. He's a brilliant all round player and can play deep or in an attacking role. To my amazement Spurs have been playing Capoue and a number of other average players instead of him for the last 2 seasons.
1. How much would he be worth? 2. Would he fit stoke? 3. Did Hughes manage him at Fulham?
I'd love to see a player of his calibre at stoke. Even though its wishful thinking. Does anyone else agree?

He's class but I'm not sure he'd be up for a scrap so would probably be a bit of a luxury player at Stoke...

I'd love him here. But I think he's beyond our reach. Wages would be a big issue probably.

Would be a brilliant signing, for me our midfield lacks mobility at times and Dembele would be a perfect answer, plus he'd be guaranteed first team games.
I know he's injured but Whelan & N'Zonzi could do with some competition to give them both a kick up the arse, at the moment there's only Cameron but he's on his way back from an injury.

Hughes signed him for Fulham, he's an absolute class act.
He was available in the summer apparently, would love us go in for him.

I agree. Have always really rated him. Sort of player someone like Man U or Arsenal should be in for, but given he can't get a game at Spurs and the Hughes connection we might be in with a shout. £8m ish I guess and, I'd imagine, massive wages.
If we have that sort of money knocking around (which I doubt) I'm disappointed we didn't have a serious go at getting Siggurdson from Spurs this summer.

No less than Levy paid for him - £15-16 million and £80k a week? 2. Yes of course he would, I'd be surprised if he would want to come mind. 3. Hughes signed him.

Yes, I am 100% certain your valuation is correct £15m minimum. I don't know where folks have got £8m from. Perhaps some vein hope that Spurs will gift us the Palacios money back

Stoke definitely signed the right Arismendi, sadly the manager didn't have a fucking clue how to use him.
When used merely as a fill-in, in Spain, he positively shone for us and is now a regular at table-topping Nacional in Uruguay and has represented the national team alongside Luis Suarez and co twice in the past fortnight.
PHW fact... :-)

Had Dembele in my fantasy team the first season he played at Spurs. He had a poor season and struggled to get a regular start. That season along with the last one should bring his price tag and wage demands down. Saying that, I wouldn't imagine he'd be up for a move out of the capital.

Sunday tabloids seem to think he's been told he's free to go in January.
He did look a class act at Fulham briefly - but two stragely anonymous seasons at Spurs later, it's hard to know what to think?
Wonder if it's feasible to consider him as a target with the Hughes link.

So it was everyone else's fault but his, is what you're saying Ruts. How convenient. His good performances all count, his poor ones don't. Sorry, but if he doesn't have the strength of character to make an impact in League One or the Championship, then he wasn't for us. Dembele is a class act and I don't think he'd cost anywhere near £15m.

He spoke positively of Hughes last week too? "For me he was a very good manager," Dembele said. "It was my first year in the Premier League and he spoke a lot with me.
"Maybe the most important thing was the confidence he gave me. How he spoke with me and he made me important in the team. It made me feel very important and that’s a big thing.
"Everyone can see (Stoke) are a good footballing team now. Before they did different things.
"In general he is a coach who gives confidence to his players and likes to play football as well, which you see at Stoke now."
Hughes on Dembele last year “I’ve got huge respect for Moussa,” said Hughes. “He’s an outstanding footballer and now he’s at a club which has, no disrespect to Fulham, a higher profile and is getting more attention.
“What people have seen in a short amount of time at Tottenham, he was producing regularly for me and Martin Jol when I left Fulham.
“He’s an outstanding footballer and I always knew when he came to the Premier League that he would make an immediate impact.
“He certainly has done that. Technically he’s very accomplished. He can play right up top, off the front man, on the wings, and in midfield. That’s the quality of the player we are talking about.
