Just been reading up on Southampton and seen Martin Hunter is their U21 coach/technical director.
Can anyone remember this guy? He was assistant manager when Kamara was here and came across as a right horrible bloke. I remember one game, a few Stoke fans were getting on at Kamara near the dugout and Hunter turned round to them all and told them to f**k off.
Bit of a random post, I know, but I much prefer having Mark Bowen as our assistant!

I remember him being extremely highly rated, but leaving with Kamara and ending up part of the England set-up?
Is he credited with helping produce any of the excellent Southampton youngsters?

To be honest onionman I'm not sure - but it just brought back that memory of him telling a few Stoke fans to f**k off. Brave man!

He was my coach at University for the first year but we saw less and less of him in subsequent years as his commitments to Leeds & Bradford increased. He was ok when he coached us. Enjoyed a laugh. Never expected his career to shine so brightly. He seems to have done very well for himself.

With hindsight, I reckon he should have instead told Kammy to eff off, given his lamentable record as Stoke manager.

I'd guess it was hardly friendly....in which case his reaction is fairly understandable.
