I hope common sense prevails the next time Hughes speaks out after one of our many shaftings.

So it's alright for any manager to use the word "cheat" to describe referees and players now then? Well done FA, the moral decline of the beautiful game continues apace.

this could be interesting from press con "Maybe 'cheat' can be said by anyone in the game then," said Hughes today. "Garry Monk's comments may set a precedent following the FA's decision not to charge him."

Quite surprised they haven't charged Moses with cheating.

The moral decline in the game continues when there is an attempt by any club, in any league or in any country to cover up cheating.

Shame. You'd definitely drill it. It makes you wonder what she sees in £1M a year Premier League manager Garry Monk. It can't be his looks, he's got a face like Mrs Brown's balls. I think he looks like Mesut Ozil's gay dad.

Watching Swansea at Liverpool and seeing their fine upstanding striker hit the deck because a Liverpool player was within a yard of his backside I remember commenting to my lads...."That's him out for the weekend then since Mr Monk has assured us that he will be dropped". I think they'll struggle without him Geoff. What do you think?

If Monk doesn't admit diving when his own players do it, then he is part of the problem.

Agree with that onion. You can deal with cheating by fines and suspensions but the real prize is to get a change in culture, where the managers, players and fans reject it and don't defend their own players.

It is very interesting that Bony, quite possibly one of the strongest front men I've seen for many years, couldn't be wrestled to the floor anywhere on the field all night at The Brit EXCEPT for when he had an arm around him in the penalty area. Don't get me wrong, it was a foul (as was the shirt pull on Moses) but neither man needed to hit the floor. Surely Mr Monk is simply taking his time to decide on the punishment he needs to give his striker as I know him to be a fine upstanding and scrupulously fair minded man.

The morals are identical in both situations. If Moses was a cheat, so was Bony. If Moses was not a cheat, neither was Bony. It's frustrating that nobody in the media has pointed this out while they've busily presented Monks as a crusader for fair play.

He didn't call the ref a cheat, he called the player one, which was fair enough even if he was a little over the top about it. Surprised he didn't get charged for it though.

In his initial Sky interview, did he not use the phrase "the ref has cheated us"? I'm absolutely staggered he hasn't been charged. As long as managers now are careful in phrasing, Monkgate has opened the floodgates for use of the word 'cheat'.

Think this is what he said.

Dunner werrit, what Monk said about dropping any of his players who cheat, will sooner or later come back and haunt the ginger haired spunkbucket.

I think the FA are sending out a strong message to the referees here. If you're going to give controversial decisions, don't make them in Stoke's favour, because they won't back you if the opposition manager then calls you a cheat.
