Norton have risen dramatically over a relatively short period of time. It'd be great to see them get through; however, that said, I'll be attending the Leek game. Imagine them both in the first round proper!

Imagine Norton v Sheffield United! Or a derby day with the Vile. It's a bit mental to consider. Norton are actually favourites for this tie, I think they're at a higher level in the pyramid than Shildon!

Imagine Norton v Sheffield United! Or a derby day with the Vile. For that to happen it would have to be a Round 1 clash as Vale have Bob Hope of making Round 2!

Anyway I'll be going - really good little club. Norton are at level 8 just four leagues below League 2 (mental to think actually) and Shildon are at level 9 so this is truly a gigantic opportunity for Norton. edit: just found this on the bbc www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29612858

Just a shame that the leek chairman and the Norton manager are trentham lads and are man Utd and Liverpool fans! Your post either insinuates that there's lots of glory-hunters in Trentham, which just isn't true, or it insinuates that Trentham lads are tossers which may well be true.

I was implying they are local lads but both of your statements carry water.

There was a Stoke supporter at St Mary's holding a Leek Town scarf. How are Norton doing?

Gutted for Leek but very relieved for Norton. They've still clearly got a lot of work to do but at least they'll still be in the hat.

the game at Leek was absolutely mint. Great cup tie, had everything. Tear in eye at end at seeing every single Blythe player shake hands with every single one of the 150 or so away fans.
Leek were brilliant first half - Shotton was outstanding, but Blythe bossed the second half. Should have been over by then tough.
My 5 year old went on the pitch (no 3 year ban!) before the game to have a kickabout with the Blythe players, and all 3 lads took shook hands with their players at the end. Met some great away supporters and it really was like being transported back to watching as a kid. Great stuff, and the reason we all got into football in the first place
