Thanks for that Paul. The Independent may be reporting the BBC interview ( after Monk realised what he'd said in the Skysports one). They are not reporting the 1st interview when he said that "the Ref had cheated us" - much more blantant comment than Warnock I think.

Monk's comments were far worse than Warnock's for sure, yet Monk hasn't been charged.

Chris Wathan ?@chriswathan 2 hours agoCharge could yet follow I believe. Monk due to face media later. Charge could yet follow apparently, but extraordinary that his silly, petulant rant hasn't brought an immediate charge.

It appears they are giving him an opportunity to talk his way out of the predicament that he talked himself into.

Yeah - and quite what he's done to deserve that opportunity is unclear. Seemed to be the most open-and-shut case for many a year.

I couldn't give a fuck what he said about Moses and the FA shouldn't either but how on Earth can you say "the ref's cheated us" and it not bring an immediate charge?

"The ref cheated us."
Incredible really.

I wonder if Colin will use that in his defence

Simple - we were the opponents rather than Chelsea, so it's ok if he just says 'heat of the moment'.
If Monk gets off, MH should learn his rant word for word and use if after any game with a dodgy decision - and sue if he gets charged.

Even Chelsea have been let down by the FA No charges brought against Wenger for his clash with Mourinho Maybe MH should learn the rant word for word then push the opposing manager. Seriously - I would expect some support from other managers who have been charged with "more diplomatic" comments after a game. On the other hand we don't ned to stoop to this level - the FA can't change the score / result, can they??????

That leaves the authorities with only one option then, doesn't it?

Silly boy. Kevin the Teenager-type stroppiness. Given a way out, and he'd rather make some silly, ill-judged point. Berk.

I thinks he's backed himself into a corner though and would prefer to taking a chance with the FA rather than admit he was wrong and by doing that being forced into apologising to Stoke, Moses and Oliver.
