As worn by Charlie Adam on Sunday.
Proper old school.
And excellent.

There is definitely a gap in the market for black boots and I expect them to come back more widely.
Further I think glory and adulation await any player willing to run with an old school goal 'celebration' in terms of simply letting it appear as though the ball ending up in the back of the net was only what you expected and in any case it is just your job and so you simply jog back to the half way line for the restart only stopping to shake the hand of any team mate who wishes to do so on the way, it would be class! I'm amazed no one has seized the opportunity for a histrionics free goal celebration!

I thought Esteban Cambiasso was a joy to watch when Leicester came to our place even though he managed to turn the game in their favour. Black boots and shirt tucked in, proper old school footballer who plays the game with such style and charisma.

I was in the Waddo on Sunday. Charlie Charles was being interviewed on stage when collecting hid MoM award and was asked why he's the only one still wearing black boots? He refused to say, despite being pushed on an answer.

About 3 or 4 seasons ago it was still odd to see players wearing fluorescent boots in garish colours of yellow, pink and orange. Now it's turned the other way, it's odd to see players wearing black boots. They look weird, i noticed Van Persie was wearing black boots and he looked like a blast from the past, no other player had black boots on. It's a funny old game.

Haha I didn't really notice them at the game, but when I watched the highlights, I laughed when I saw Charlie's boots Charlie is great, love the fact he looks like we've just dragged him out of the pub to play a game but then continually comes up with the goods. He's scored so many important goals for us.

As Pete Townshend observed - "The parting on the left, is now the parting on the right". (Or vice versa). On your second, I also agree. Although you missed the element of said players relieving one another in the bath after the F/T whistle. So much classier and understated to keep the homo-erotic shenanigans away from the public gaze.

These blacked out boots are quality. I'm pleased to say that my lad wears those boots over garish pink and yellow colours....... the only downside is the team he is playing for.

It seems funny because there's no way on earth that I'd wear any colour boots other than black myself. But when I saw the picture of Charlie in the paper I couldn't get over how odd it looked that he was sporting a black pair.

It's a shame they retail for around £180.00, a few lower budget ones would do well... Some lads in my Sunday team have taken Sharpies to take out the stripes!

I once had to buy a pair of boots when I lived in the States in 2004 and the only ones I could find were puma ones which were the colours of the italian flag (not entirely sure why) they were horrid and I always felt like a plank wearing them. I also considered myself as not having the required talent to wear such ludicrous boots.
Black boots all the way.

Don't footballers wear all black boots when they're after a new boot deal? I'm not sure but I seem to remember Graeme Le Saux having to put some tape over the brand name once on one of the tv games and the commentator said that was standard practice for players in between boot deals.

But I assume as you use quotes here the reference is factual and accurate and can be traced.
Otherwise your opinion is unacceptable.

At the moment, he's more of an embarrassment than a help where 'black issues' are concerned.
