It is blowing a gale and pelting down with rain-would you want to watch the Vale when the best option is to stay in your nice warm house and watch the Champions League?

And Vale have never had as big a fan base as we have. If we'd been grubbing round the nether regions of the leagues for all our existence our attendances would be the same. Anyway surely it's the Council's fault. Or perhaps they were expecting gangs of marauding Stoke thugs to attack them in their back yard. That's it. Stoke's fault.

Fair points mate but i just thought the fans would make an effort to turn up especially after their chairman's plea.

Oooo i do hope they drop back down to where they belong, wasn't long ago they where saying shit like "we'll be seeing you in the championship soon" or other delusional bollocks.
By the sounds of thing Dicko is doing a decent inside job on there defence... always red and white!
I wish i didn't give a shit but the more they suffer the better!

In truth it was probably a better game at Vale Park than that utterly futile demolition of those hapless Slovenian's by Chelsea we were subjected to on ITV!

Exactly-why go watch proper football when you can watch the Champions League being devalued every year by teams who finish below 1st?
Gone are the days of the European Champions (Nott's Forest) facing the Champions of their own league (Liverpool)-in a first round draw.
Now it the preserve of the top 18 clubs-of who wins the title.

£26 pay on the night. I wouldn't go watch Stoke for that much !! £26!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Forget the iniquities of the Champions League for a moment; this is the lunacy of today's football. £26 to watch a game of third tier football! Absurd.

I'm hearing on the grapevine that they are financially close to the edge again. Really, never saw that one coming, surely with the Smurf at the helm a rise to the premiership is a more realistic assessment of their status.

I really can't work their chairman out at all! He certainly seems to have put his money where his mouth is but some Vale fans I know don't seem confident about him running the club. It hasn't taken long for their fans to turn on Dicko! www.onevalefan.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?77449-Carl-Dickinson&p=2066022#post2066022I thought they'd be doing much better this season - on paper they've actually got some decent players.

Could that be because historically they have for the biggest part of it been a tin pot scummy bag of shit by any chance.
