For fucks sake, are we going to make this thread every single week for every fucking club? Expect bias towards the saints as it's a saints forum. There's bias and then there's being a cunt.

Christ almighty, what a bunch of weapons, some jaw dropping snobbery on that site. "With Man Utd and Chelsea facing one another on sunday there is a real opportunity to close in on the leaders". Do these hillbillies honestly believe they have even the remotest chance of getting top four?? I look forward to seeing their inevitable drop down the table as the season goes on..... Tbf they're up there and looking bloody good, why not dream a little, I would if we were there.

"I hope they aren't the hoofers and cloggers as they suggest, it will just make our day easier. If they try and actually beat us at football then all I can say is good luck."
Not sure how he could get that far up his own arse with tarquins cock up there.

I know there's a few on here who think that way, but most are realistic to the point of pessimism.

I fucking hate new age fans with their stuck up views of other clubs. My lady's eldest is a Shit fan (to be fair his dad is from Manchester) and I keep drumming into him that he should never disrespect any other team as no club is more important than any other. He was of the view that lower league teams weren't important but I've set him straight that any club in league two or even below is every bit as important as a top four club. I never once talk about the opposition as a shit, talentless, or wank club, etc as its a really shitty attitude to have. I respect and know how difficult games will be and every point is a bonus so it's nice to know most Stokies still have their feet on the ground and don't get carried away by this modern football attitude that really embarrasses long standing fans. I fucking hate modern football fans. Come on Jamo, what about Arsenal?

Could somebody tell me how many goals Southampton won by with thier total footballing and with thier ex star players?
Or in fact the last time footballs newest top 4 team beat this team of pub footballing cloggers?

Perhaps getting a bit carried away with last weekend. Good side and doing remarkably well overall given their circumstances, but Sunderland gifted them 4 of those goals from memory and some of them were so bad that match fixing genuinely crossed my mind for a moment.

To be fair they have done very well this season despite having to off load a heap of players.
Employing their new gaffer was a stroke of genius and it does smack of a well run club.
Read their shit all you like but surely we are used to all this bollocks now and most of the people posting would have been twiddling their thumbs 5 years ago probably supporting a London club.
I've never had an issue with them. But I don't really care about them or their fans either.
We are who we are and we do bloody well with that.

Amazing......it's like all the Gooner gayers have upped sticks and move to the South Coast! I used to live in Jersey and, whilst there, always got the quick flight over to watch us at their place, met one or two decent ones, but clearly they don't post on that forum! So up their own arses and totally out of touch with the football we have played under Hughes and the players we now have in our squad. They all seemingly believe everything the media spouted about us 5 years ago still holds true, when most of it wasn't strictly accurate even then! Yes Jezza and lest these superior tossers should forget they were then in the third tier struggling against extinction. You'd think that would give their fans a bit of humility and appreciation of where they are rather than acting like a bunch of name calling primary school kids wouldn't you? BM I do worry about the "modern" football supporter, I really do. I can only hope that the average age and IQ of those on that site is barely into double figures; otherwise, I am at a loss to explain such football snobbery from followers of a team so recently risen from the lower reaches of the Football League.

Well said fatman, I won't bother going on there to view their thoughts. I hope that the majority of their fans are decent like my mate, who is just glad to be in the Prem and doing ok. Makes me smile when the old clichés come out about us though (normally from the tv armchair brigade I bet). Think you will find that Ronald K and co will have done their homework and won't be assuming anything next weekend. Having said that would take a draw there all day long, any news about our injuries and who will be up for it?

Saints fan in peace, was here last year. Trust me Saints web is not a true reflection of Saints fans. Any true fan will tell you we treat every game with big chunk of reality. We have been down and out and feel very lucky to be doing well this season. Stoke games always fill me with dread based on historic experiences. Problem is most fans focus on own teams and don't take much time looking at other teams and base opinion on match if the day or press. Very nervous about this game and good luck for the rest of the season.

Saints have done very well this season and good luck to them(_not against us of course) many of us thought you crazy to sell that many players but we were proved wrong. As you say all fans focus on their own club, hopefully we have turned the corner from a poor start and will be back to our old home form. Should be two good games in prospect, just hope the ref has a good game too and makes the correct decisions, regardless of who for; spoils too many games when they don't.

Saints fan in peace.
Not all Saints fans are abusive or fools and think that our sh!t doesnt stink. As you will find on a forum of other teams EVERYBODY is derogatory at times to opposition. I just wanted to say that Stoke has a reputation of being hard to beat & are a very phsical side...i love the fact that you play/ed this way.FOOTBALL has got a bit stale with all this...oooh you touched me im falling over crap.I think that a strong tackle is good and shoulder barges are comical especially when the person barged goes flying. 5 years ago we were nigh on extinct due to being poorly run by a twat of a chairman luckily we were saved by the GREAT MARKUS LIEBHERR and so far we havent looked back. When we look back to those dark days of league 1 it made us realise how vulnerable we were as a club Now we find ourselves 3rd in the Prem & yes we are gloating to a degree because of how our club was ripped apart & the manager leaving..we were also tipped for relegation. Wouldnt you yourselves be the same proving pundits/experts wrong ?! Yes we may slip down the table when injuries come or go on a bad run BUT we may well stay in the top 6.All i do is hope my team plays well with the will to win AS for the Sunderland result everybody knows they collapsed after the stunning opener from vergini BUT also we played good football. It was a freak result & thats that. Our stock has risen with us playing entertaining passing high pressure football very rarely it is constantly hoofed. We play from the back and we play quick. I wish you well for the season EXCEPT Saturday coming. ONLY FISH SUPPORT THE SKATES MEN SUPPORT SAINTS !!

A wet pitch will fit in with their clog style of hoof ball and restrict our sharp passing game.
As I said before, expect them to park the bus and try and muscle out a win.
I still can't get my head round Stoke being a premier club, for the most part they remind me of a a very worthy lower 2nd Division club.Seasons in top flight;- Stoke City 59 Soton 38 BM

I wouldn't get wound up by saints web forum. A fair few of the mouths are plastic fans and wum. They do not speak for the majority of supporters and closest they get to football is playing FIFA.
Seriously we are on a good run and been to hell and back enjoying the good times, lots jumping on the band wagon haven't experienced Hartlepool away on a Tuesday in February.
It's more frustrating for traditional saints fans, especially when some of the start talking about top 4 and Europe.

I don't doubt but we can only go off the utter cock wipes posting on that site unfortunately. For me Saints are doing tremendously well and despite the upheaval in the summer look to have massively prospered. All must be rosy down there which makes the comments of those total bell ends all the more disappointing.

I don't mind the optimism or them expecting to get a win. It's lazy comments like "wank club" that are annoying. I think it's the first time since we've been in the league that a penalty decision of ours has been debated about a possible dive. But now all of a sudden we are team of cheats. It takes years to shake of a hoofball tag but one game to gain another.

I'm not really sure what all the fuss is about. Leicester fans were much the same. West Ham fans routinely spout this kind of rubbish on their forum.
If Southampton fans don't like Stoke, who cares? I don't. We play our style of football. It's a hybrid of long ball and short passing and actually demonstrates the versatility of our team. Neither of our goals on Sunday came as a result of long ball yet we made several opportunities by hitting long to Crouch.
If they seriously think playing long plays into their hands, they should probably have a chat to Arsenal, Liverpool and Man City who have failed in the past. If they genuinely think we would struggle to play a passing game, well, we'll find out.
I imagine those guys on saints web probably supported arsenal a few years ago. The only Southampton fan I know has always had a good opinion of us.

The fact that they press high will play right into our hands as they won't stand a chance of keeping up with us on the break. I quite like it when this happens because it just reinforces our determination to absolutely prove teams wrong. We did it at man city, we can do it anywhere.
