I loved it in Tony's reign when we were public enemy no 1 for the way we played and everybody wanted us relegated.I've missed that as some of the media have actually started to like us.Sunday's events with Ryan & Victor will have instilled our siege mentality again as no doubt both players will get stick now and we need to all pull together even more which for me is great .So I'm glad this happened as I think it will help us to get results over the coming weeks until the hate campaign moves on to another team which won't be very long.

Well we somehow have invented diving (!) and holding in the box (!) this last few days so yeh, I think it will return if we get singled out like it feels like we are being. I personally quite enjoy it! Us against the world.

The siege mentality is for championship clubs. Time to grow up and time to stop acting like championship club fans. We are in the Prem on merit and the so called "everyone hating us" never really existed in my opinion. But it obviopusly suits some people to feel that way cos it's the type of mentality that makes Stoke on Trent a neglected area by politicians. "We are always moaning" he says in a moaning type of way typical of people of this area.

I hope so I couldn't give a fuck what it makes us look like, I couldn't give a fuck if we're right or wrong, and I couldn't give a fuck who we offend in the process. We as supporters are at our absolute best when we're being a complete bunch of bastards, and we've proved that we can affect the outcome of a match in our favour. So thankyou Garry Monk, thank you John Hartson, and thank you Swansea City. Remember..... you could have avoided this!!

It's given us somebody/something to (almost) unite against.
Instead of all the in fighting, it makes a refreshing change.

I don't think we're always moaning retired1. I, and most of the Stoke fans I speak to, are extremely proud of us being a Premier League club and how well we've done since promotion. I think if the siege mentality returns - brilliant. I certainly don't see it that it's a bad thing. I like the fact most of our fans aren't just here for the Premier League ride - we're different from the norm and I think that's great. Stoke against the world! Why should we just sit there and take it when we're clearly being targeted by certain areas of the media?

The more horrible we are, the better our support. Bring it on! And this is from a Q-Railing regular!

must admit i haven't come across a single person as yet that has slagged us as fans, a club or moses off for what happened at the weekend or anyone that has indicated that they hate us. pretty much everyone i've spoken to just see it as one incident that happens somewhere in the Prem every single week (a refereeing decision that not everyone agrees with shocker!!) and after that quite simply aren't interested at all let alone them being at the point where they actively hate us for it...but let's stick to the old paranoid bullshit i suppose, people on here seem to be happier when they believe that.

Take it you're not on Twitter/read the 606 forums/message boards mickmills?
Our club gets targeted for things other clubs get away with. I don't think that's being paranoid.

I don't think there's anything siege mentality about us because we continue to look like we can concede at will and let's face it we could quite easily have found ourselves two down against Swansea in the blink of an eye.
