I'm sure we have been shafted ,any times, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't have been happy with it when we had. Bony didn't dive though did he, he was tussling with Shawcross and he was a bit weaker and went down, the ref got the decision wrong, Moses clearly dived, completely different situation. Bony was a bit weaker. Pisser! In was in that instance, obviously he's a big lad, so is Shawcross.

At least we looked like we might score when Moses got that nudge/shirt tug, there was nothing doing at all for Swansea when that corner was lumped aimlessly over. Oh, and we scored a proper goal as well, a very good one too it must be said. You can't seriously expect to win a match on the back of a fortuitously awarded penalty the result of the usual all in wrestling which takes place at a corner can you

No mention of the tug on Crouch, wasn't that cheating! Well motd2 spent 10 mins talking about pulling in boxes but never replayed this and the commentators comments

It is sad that certain people on here would rather be outraged at a POSSIBLE dive, than be happy that we got 3 much needed points that put us up to 10th. I'm happy we got 3 points, I'm not happy how we did it. I'm happy that you're happy with the 3 points. On the 'dive' we will have to agree to disagree sir

At the match I thought it was a dive. I sit in block 31 so was quite close. But one of those camera angles showed Angel push Moses. That coupled with the pic on here somewhere of him with a handful of Moses' shirt I've changed my mind. Yes, Moses goes down very easily (like Bony did for their pen) BUT IT IS A STONEWALL PENALTY!! There wasn't a push, it wasn't a peno. There was contact as Victor went in the box at pace, i've seen liverpool get plenty of pens with players going down with less contact. I have no complaints with our player at all.

I think it's fair to say Bony is built like a light heavyweight boxer. He has a fucking tremendous physique. Outside the 18yrd box you have more chance of felling an oak tree than bringing Bony to the ground. However, inside the 18yrd box he has a passing resemblance to Bambi on ice. He is what Gary Monk would call a cheat.

There wasn't a push but a pull on the shirt in an attempt to knock him out of his stride and in the hope that the referee doesn't see it, well he did see it and as clear a penalty that you'll ever see. A pull would have pulled him back, not take his legs away from him, it was dive. FACT: there is a shirt pull in the penalty area - whether it does or doesn't suit your blinkered view. So, if a player is impeded in the penalty area - by way of shirt pull - whilst moving on goal, what would you suggest the ref do? Ignore it? clap and applaud the Swansea player? Ruffle Moses' hair and say naughty little boy? So, Moses went down easily, after being impeded. So what. Stop being a trifling martyr to the Swansea cause.

Make contact in the box and any player will go down, if they don't go down management will rip them a new one, it's up to the ref to decide whether it's a penalty or not, how many times have we been on the wrong end of bad decisions and you've all bemoaned the ref? yes we may have got away with one today but enjoy it for christs sake
Bony spent most of todays game on his arse anytime Wilson breathed on him, do you think he wouldn't have hit the floor in Moses' situation? Of course he would, do you think any Swansea fans would be calling for him to be banned for diving? Fuck no, they'd be saying it's a soft penalty but contact was made..
Take your head's out your arse holes and wake up, we're no longer playing caveman football, we're playing the modern game and soft penalty's are part of it, if you think for a second that players won't go down easy against us to try and win penalties then you're deluded

If Moses had been in goal for Swansea he'd have dived better to try to save Walters' header than their keeper did. There's no case being built against us, that's just the usual Stoke fan "we are victims/nobody likes us" paranoia. It was Hartson's viewpoint and he wouldn't ever have dived in a box to get a penalty would he, same goes for Shearer. So it's not a conspiracy FFS, I'm sick of hearing conspiracy theories. Moses went down easily, he was touched but he isn't the first to go down so easily anyone remember Ashley Young and Welbeck at Manure game in game out. Maybe the pushing and tugging in the box will reduce or stop now there's the chance a penalty will be given. Stoke defenders are little different to other teams but it's been a recurring theme on this forum for years about RS and RH doing it. RS seemed to play better after being taken off wrestling duties. Not paranoia, this constant BBC reviewing of Stoke highlights and more often than not concentrating on the physical aspects of our game perpetuates the myth that we are 'over physical' 'combative' 'tough to beat' etc etc. God many supposed in the know football fans still regard us as a long ball rugby team! Hartson is a lifelong Swansea fan so will never give an unbiased viewpoint, he will always have an angle to peddle. Not the sharpest tool in the shed either, makes Shearer look like a member of MENSA. Close manoeuvres in the box will always be a feature of football regardless of the league or the location or age of the players. But in the end I really don't give one, we won, they lost and tonight we climbed back up the table. Great day. UTP!!!

Charge Moses for diving?! Are you on crack Hartson? What about Bale, Young, Hazard? Don't recall any charges for those repeat divers It appears my previous comment about hartson and crack may have overstepped the mark as it's had been deleted. However to clarify you are spot on about Bale young and hazard (which sounds like a team of solicitors)

Moses of course went down very easily. If he hadn't gone down, a shirt pull in the penalty area would/could have gone unpunished and it would have been a bad decision from the referee.

I have lost count of the number of times we have been the 'transgressed against' rather than the 'transgressor'. So remind me when they made such a fuss of an alleged dive and when a penalty was given for holding from a free kick? Fine if we now see these standards applied elsewhere. If we do - then I'll eat my words. Otherwise there's something going on. I look forward to 50+ penalties next weekend and MotD analysing in depth the diving of various Premier League 'stars' - just like they did with Lampard on Saturday.

FWIW – Shawcross on Bony was – but he was unlucky to have it given.
Moses was a dive – end off.
I won’t pass any moral judgment – but until they’re given every time for a Shawcross type groping or (reviewed live) and sanctioned, for the type Moses simulation – decisions will continue to be as random as today.
MOTD - missed the chance to analyse a good Stoke goal and dispel the Swansea myth - but that would be talking football.

Moses felt the Swansea player pulling his shirt so decided to dive.
Two wrongs don't make a right, but if Moses is a cheat for diving, the same has to go for the shirt puller.
The shirt pull is the crucial factor here and what makes it different, to my mind, to dives like Sterling's against us last year or that famous Suarez attempt before then. In fact, I'd say what Moses did is little different to Bony; going to ground to highlight holding. With one exception; Moses wasn't doing any holding!

Anyone see Sigurdson dive when he attempted to round Bego? Realised he was going get it so quickly got back up, but the intention was certainly there. He didn't dive, didn't ask for it, didn't look to the ref, put his head down and was clearly annoyed that he messed it up, got up and ran back. The TV commentator mentioned that he dropped his trailing leg as went around Bego presumably looking for the inevitable contact. When that was not forthcoming he had already committed to going down. I haven't seen a replay so cannot say whether I agree with the commentator or not.

It would not surprise me in the least If the wankers at the top try and do something about it now. Like somebody said above, it's like stokr have suddenly invented diving. When in fact we've probably been one of the most honest teams in recent years. As for all these experts (non unbiased and most southern luvvies) Absolute bunch of hypocritical wankers!!!
