Starts again tonight at 9pm on BBC1 with 20 candidates. I think most of the people involved in it are wankers but I still enjoy it for some reason.

It's good. One of the few shows on tv that isn't totally staged shite bollocks, its so staged the candidates now seem chosen more for the tv than their business acumen

completely agree with Al here....
not only do they seem chosen for what will make good TV but for the last few years it seems to have turned into Big Brother where the contestants that enter aren't even doing so for a great business opportunity but simply because they think that if they're as arrogant and obnoxious as possible then they'll be remembered consequently as a "character" and get some kind of TV career out of it (although i suppose they'll see that alone as a good business opportunity).
great idea for the first few years but like everything in this country, quickly degenerates into a mass of random people who all apply simply because they want their 15 minutes of fame. i bloody HATE our country's obsession with celebrity culture!

Did anybody watch it? Filled with arseholes and tarts in my opinion. That team leader for the women wanted a bullet, as did the Canadian fella.

Did anybody watch it? Filled with arseholes and tarts in my opinion. That team leader for the women wanted a bullet, as did the Canadian fella. The PM for the women's team was on another planet. When she was trying to push her idea for slicing up the lemons before selling them, that was literally one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I'm not sure how someone that clueless can even dress herself, let alone make it onto a television show where the contestants are supposed to have a strong sense of business-acumen. Words can't describe just how bad of an idea that was. The Canadian guy was undoubtedly a dickhead but the fact is if they had listened to him then they would've won the task. If he had been sub-team leader then he would've been able to overrule the bloke who didn't recognise that shifting the shirts was the optimal strategy. A twat yes, but I won't be at all surprised if he makes it deep into the competition. Luisa Zissman is a massive bellend but she's also an astute business person and came runner-up last year.

The lemons and her obsession with everybody looking made up etc. was sickening at the best of times. Can't see Sugar wanting to work with the Canadian either though to be fair

Can't see Sugar wanting to work with the Canadian either though to be fair Having an abrasive personality isn't really as much of an issue in recent years because Sugar isn't looking for an employee, he's looking to invest in a business that the selected candidate will be running themsleves. There's no doubt he's worked with a lot of difficult people during his career but if there's a lot of talent there (and obviously we don't yet know if that is the case or not with this Canadian fellow) then an experienced bussiness-man like Alan Sugar will have extensive knowledge in making adjustments for different personalities to guide individuals towards realising their potential. There was a business-woman on the You're Fired show who spoke about working with disruptive characters and she said that it can actually be useful to have someone in there throwing grenades about and keeping everybody else sharp and on their toes.

It's an excellent show, no doubt about it but it could be improved. Sir Sugar say's 'You're Fired' but I feel this could be improved by sating 'That's Out'. Even better, they could bring Dickie in (if he is available, he is a busy man with big decisive decisions to make!) with his white gown to make the decision....THAT'S OUT!

And that's why people enjoy the programme This is absolutely spot on! I dunno what's wrong with me but I love watching people and things which really piss me off, therefore the Apprentice makes for essential viewing. Over the years, that's probably why I've supported Stoke too
