Bego Bardsley ShawX Huth Eric Diuof Fonzie Ireland Adam Moses Crouch I'm expecting a few changes from the Blunderland games. Gouranga. I'm going for Arnie to start and to score both goals in a 2-1 win. Today is the day he returns to form. Hoping to see Huth, Pieters and Ireland all back in the starting 11

Bego Bardsley ShawX Huth Eric Diuof Fonzie Ireland Adam Moses Crouch I'm expecting a few changes from the Blunderland games. Gouranga. I'm not convinced that Adam and Ireland in the same team is a good idea without Whelan behind them. Hopefully, Hughes will share my view. Wouldn't mind Huth and Pieters returning though. I'd also be happy to see Cameron in midfield if Whelan is still injured - but I expect Hughes to use Sidwell if he is fit.

Thought Whelan was injured? If he's fit I'd use him instead of Ireland. Sidwell has been a bit of a disaster hope he's not in the squad TBH. Gouranga.

I'd love that but I just can't see it as it leaves us with not much defensive cover for the back 4. I'd fully expect Sidwell to start today. I have a feeling we'll be looking at
...........................Bego..........................
Bards.........Ryan.........Wilson.........Eric
.............Sidwell...............NZonzi...........
Diouf..................Adam.................Moses
..........................Crouch..........................
Big game today with lots of key decisions to make for MLH
- do we risk Moses and Diouf from the start. - Eric or Muni? I'd go with Eric if Dyers playing as he's better defensively. - Who comes in for Whelan? I think it'll be Sidwell. I wouldn't mind seeing GCam or Muni. - Adam or Ireland. I prefer Ireland at home and Adam away. - Who misses out on the bench we have an abundance of riches. Arno, Assaidi,, Muni, Bojan, GCam, Walters, Ireland or Adam. - It sounds like Huths injury has solved the Wilson / Huth that selection issue.
3 points is massive.

I also don't think Adam and Ireland function well together and are a defensive risk. I thought they were getting in each other's way/playing too close together in the Cup match at Sunderland.
I think it's time (again) to see what Sidwell can do in a full game and see if he can play with N'Zonzi with one staying back if the other ventures up field. He would add some goal scoring potential to the mid-field which is lacking apart from Adam.
Assuming Huth isn't fully fit I'd start with: Bego Bardsley Ryan Wilson Pieters N'Zonzi Sidwell Adam Diouf Moses Crouch
Stoke keep promising to get a bag of goals from chances created, let's hope today's the day. I'd also plan to try Cameron for Bardsley at some point to see if he creates more chances, but I don't think creating chances is the real problem; it's converting the chances into goals that just isn't happening.

I can see Moses & Diuof starting on the bench, only coming on if needed.

Muniesa has to be faster than Pieters so I would play him to sit with Dyer.

Muniesa has to be faster than Pieters so I would play him to sit with Dyer. No chance. Muni goes walk about too much and Dyer would be left with the freedom of that side of the pitch.

Agreed - it happened in both Sunderland games and he's an easy target. So Pieters for me. I think Huth deserves a chance now but other than that I'd change nothing - unless Moses is fit.

I think we'll be alright today. All we need is to supply Crouch who does well against Swansea. I fancy us big time.

Big game today. Win and its mid-table for a while Lose and folk get the wibble wobbles. I agree, March. I think we need a high tempo, high intensity approach today. Nowt wrong with being a bit more direct on occasion, either.

I personally think we need to get the first goal today. If we go behind, then we are in big trouble, especially if Mame, Moses and Whelan are out. However, we need to be patient and not let our heads go down if we don't get on top straight away. Either way, this lot are probably the best team to come to the Brit so far, so today will be a big test.

In the ground so looking forward to seeing all the Happy clappers as there is virtually only the biscuit here at the moment Look forward to my evening. Of armchair abuse if we come up short but for now peace in stoke to all men and prey for a victory to start a very very tough run of games
