getting absolutely slated by Souness,Carragher and Neville after their performance tonight and most of the season. They really are a shadow of the side of last season and its amazing how one man can make so much difference.

Suarez made them the team and without him they are no better than a run of the mill side.
They will be nowhere near the top 4 this season.

I think it is a combination of the loss of Suarez coinciding with a gradual deterioration in Gerrard's form and fitness. The warning signs as to Gerrard's decline were there in the second half of last season - it has continued into this season.
The loss of Suarez who (like him or loath him) was one of the World's top strikers would hit any club hard - but Gerrard's deterioration was obvious and Rogers should have spent big on a replacement by now. Another defender or two wouldn't have done any harm either.

Gerrard is definately on the decline. I still think Sterling is overated and is in danger of an early burn out,he needs a rest every now and again. Perhaps too many new faces coming in hasn't helped but thats Brenda's problem. I've noticed that mincer Henderson is getting a bit of an attitude lately too, he gave Mario a few choice looks tonight. Sick of seeing them every week as well, its a pet hate of mine I know but 10 games on the bounce I think that is on TV, every match this season. Thank god for the red button! As said it shows what a player Suarez was and how much they relied on him, anyway, no love lost here ha, long may there shit run continue.
And another red for the Arse, they do collect them don't they.

Just like Spurs they got rid of one world class player for a huge sum of money and decided to invest in several shitty players rather then a couple world class goal-getters...

I thought they looked really good against Spurs away a few weeks ago, but they've been decidedly average in every other game.
Balotelli isn't fit to lace Suarez's boots (but, to be fair, not many are).
Sterling has been playing very well, but was dire tonight. And the Serbian guy they paid £20m+ for hasn't exactly hit the ground running. Sturridge is clearly being missed
It's going to be interesting to see how they phase Gerrard out.
I like the bloke - but he's finished. But quite how they go about dispensing with him is anyone's guess. He's like the Queen Mother on Merseyside and I can't see Rodgers having the balls to kill Bambi and move him on

Iam just glad that wanker suarez won't be playing in the premier league again.

Just like Spurs they got rid of one world class player for a huge sum of money and decided to invest in several shitty players rather then a couple world class goal-getters... The funny thing is, as they were doing it, everyone said "Remember Spurs!" and Liverpool kept saying, "Don't worry about that, we're not doing a Spurs!" as they promptly did a Spurs.

With the exception of Sturridge, Coutinho and possibly Moreno, Rodgers' signings have really been poor, he's spunked a hell of a lot of money on some very average players.

My favourite ever period of football was from when Liverpool fans were convinced they had won the league, to the week when they lost at home to Chelsea and then threw away a 3 goal against Palace.
Magical.

I share the same birthday as Gerrard and am the same age, im sure hes feeling it on his body now. Ive always kept myself fit with marathons and football etc but the last twelve months ive really struggled with achs and pains so im sure the pace of the prem is talking its toll on Gerrard. Everyones different I know, look at giggs/Philips/Sheringham but looking at Gerrard this season he looks as fooked as me lol He should hang his boots up at the end of the season winning fuck all haha

Lone striker up front, much easier to save your energy than playing in midfield and trying to be the motor of the team

Rodgers is an absolute charlatan and will be found out this year, he gets the adoration of the Liverpool fans as he spouts all the YNWA special club bullshit they love to lap up.
Last year they got lucky with injuries, played 12-17 games less than everyone around them and had a player in Messi like form.
They have to deal with champions league travelling, no world class player and now the injuries have started happening. Back to 7th/8th for them.

I wouldnt even say 7th or 8th fella........personally I would say a little lower 9th or 10 AND I reckon we will run them VERY close to finishing above them this season........ Meanwhile in other news, The Liverpool Echo are in the process of setting up "Stevens Honourable Immortality Trust (or SHIT for short) to recognise the players contribution to the city of Liverpool. Bucket rattlers will be out in force on Saturday asking the generous loveable jovial thieving scousers to dig deep (in other shoppers pockets) to show their appreciation of one of their own now hes fuckin past it!! A bronze statue will be cast and placed alongside Liverpool Lime Street station (next to the bogs) You might even get a sticker !! (if they have any money left over after theyve syphoned most of it off )
