I've sent an email to Josh Whittaker the ticket office manager so, hopefully, it will get sorted before too long. Just had a reply from Josh Whittaker. They are aware of the problem. They did test the system when the Southampton Cup ticketing went "live" and it was working. Unfortunately it stopped working after the staff went home. The "fix" will be carried out by an outside agency (who are responsible for maintaining the system) so it won't be fixed until tomorrow - hopefully earlier rather than later tomorrow.
In the meantime Josh Whittaker apologises unreservedly for any inconvenience.

No it isn't supposed to be, otherwise they would not say that st holders had until 9/10 to reserve their seats.

Looking at the seats left today it looks like it could be a sell out - for the home seats anyway.
Is block 12, Q Railing Lower any good?

Season ticket holder seats are reserved until next Thursday so there might not look a lot of seats at the minute but there'll probably be thousands released next week.

That's great, tickets are on sale now, but you can't buy them. Ingenious.

Just ordered mine and the young un's ticket online in new seats with no problem so early problems must have been sorted. 20 quid for the 2 of us is great value. Now he will want to go on the train and the pub so may not be as cheap as first thought.

Can't imagine that many Southampton fans coming up for this game. London is only about 60 miles from Southampton and is a much more interesting place to visit than Stoke so it's hardly surprising they took 5,000 to Arsenal. Mind you, Brighton bought a few thousand up for our FA Cup game a couple of seasons ago.(but only 2 coaches for a Friday night game when we were in the Championship!).

Any idea on the total attendance? 20K?

Is block 12, Q Railing Lower any good? I would imagine it will be a bit quiet. I have swapped from 30 to 10 for this one as taking the lad. He will get a better view down there as my usual seat is right at the back.

1. Yes, season ticket holders have until 9th October to book their own seat. 2. I have the same problem as you - my ST seat is shown with a red "R" - which presumably means reserved. The problem I have is that I can't buy it! So, yet another telephone call to the ticket office tomorrow to do something which would not be necessary if the database was working properly. What really pisses me off is that this should have been spotted by the club by now. It has been a problem for several hours and they should have several staff who are delegated to book their own ST seats as soon as they go on sale to test the system and put a warning on the site if it is not working properly. You wouldn't think we were dealing with a business with a turnover of over £90 million p.a. Lakeland Potter in criticising SCFC ticket system shocker! Maybe he should have paid on the gate

I'll be at the game of anyone wants to buy me a pint. I was hoping I could, but it's my eldest lads masters graduation in Edinburgh that afternoon

Will be my sons first game so I don't want him to cack his pants. Quick post just to say that with this being my sons (and Mrs) first game we had a great time. Shame about the result but overall the mascot package and game were really enjoyable. My son got to walk out with Beggo (his favourite player) and I got some great photos. Big thanks to Tracy Burrows from the club for making the occasion special. If anyone has any good photos of the mascots at the lineup, then feel free to send them to me Attachment Deleted
