I actually thought he was really funny and very honest. Newcastle were toothless and devoid of any talent.
I couldn't care less about stadium numbers, the only numbers that matter are the one that decide the game.

What is it with the fans of these North East clubs? They are obsessed with attendances. The North East of England has a population of 2.5 million with far fewer clubs than we have in the Midlands, so I would say their crowds are nothing special at all given the catchment area and competition they have. Same goes for Sunderland, another deluded bunch of weapons who cling to the old stadium size/attendance chestnut because they have nothing else at all to be proud of at the moment.

He didn't put emphasis on it, he just said that they have a bigger stadium which they do. He also said that Newcastle fans have a right to expect a draw away at Stoke. I don't think that's unreasonable. We often expect a draw against Newcastle, don't think he was unreasonable at all.

Crowd size comparisons aside, you can't disagree with any of his conclusions though can you? He credited us as being worth the win, as indeed a number of outside observers are starting to do in slowly increasing numbers.

Surprisingly i thought he made some decent points particularly about his own teams shortcomings. Also i understood most of what he said. Normally i cant understand much of what the geordie people say. But why oh why all the foul language? The English language is rich in wonderful varied vocabulary why not use it?

I quite like this guy, he's every right to be pissed off hasn't he? For what it's worth I didn't think we played particularly well last night but what that makes Newcastle I just don't know... Happy days ????

Seems to be the problem up there, 52,000 wannabe managers, all know better 8 what should be cone . . . But it would be interesting to look at their CV's & see their football experience & using the F world x times in a minute doesn't count!

Very funny and pretty accurate assessment IMO. I'm guilty myself but we should probably not get too touchy about the 'attendance' argument. Although we could offer a very reasonable argument about our catchment area and the massive competition we face for support and (factoring all of that in) we might even have a sensible case for arguing that we do better than them (proportionally) from our local area. Nonetheless, they are simply REASONS why Newcastle are a better supported (bigger?) club. I think we probably have to accept that they ARE a bigger club whatever the reasons for that are. Where I DO disagree with him is in his assumption that Newcastle have every right to expect to get at least a draw at the likes of Stoke. The two things have no bearing on each other and their chances of gaining anything at Stoke depend entirely on current form and performance on the day. On current form, I would have suggested that Newcastle were unlikely to get anything other than a defeat at Stoke, and so it proved.
That aside, the fella is very entertaining and offers a fairly sensible view IMO.

Pretty good summary all in all. Think he's being a tad harsh on his own team, I thought Sissoko, Janmaat and Colback at least tried to get something going for them.
