Absolute class act, wears his heart on his sleeve. Great at going forward, solid at the back, strong in the tackle. To think some people wanted him dropped for Cameron and even Wilkinson. thank fuck we have mh as manager and not some of the muppetts on here

He put in a great shift last night. Some brilliant challenges second half too, proper old school crunches!!
He got caught out of position a few times first half when he left his post and drifted inside but overall, his best showing yet.
I love that kind of commitment!!

So far he's been an excellent signing and it is noticeable how several people have gone very very quiet on this particular signing. He knows his job and carries it out brilliantly. One bit of play where he naturally took up a great position which resulted in him clearing a very dangerous situation was particularly impressive. So far I can't fault him. He's been excellent.

I for one haven't been quiet on the subject. After a shaky opening game, he's grown into the position and improved with every match. I thought it was his best showing last night in fact. Great heart and commitment. He's like Wilko but with a bit more quality. He's obviously not the finished article and his touch lets him down at times, and he drifts inside a tad too much at times for my liking, but overall, he's done very well so far - and long may it continue.

When was the last time we had a full back who didn't drift inside? If there is no cross to stop, something else he's been very good at, a full-back has to take up a position that will protect the back post area. Bardsley does it perfectly. As for a shaky start, I didn't see it. Bardsley was one of our better performers v both Villa and Hull. He's doing great and is a big improvement on what we've had in that position before, especially the last couple of seasons. EDIT - his best game of the season, by some distance, was Man City away where he was absolutely outstanding.

Very good addition to the squad though. As I said at the time.

I'm really missing Cameron's forward raids especially those that culminate in an aimless cross with the outside of his foot to either no-one or the opposition centre halves head. Brilliant they were! :-)

I like Bardsley. Defensively sound, good team man and likes a tackle. Has a nasty side which is also a positive for me - he was right up for a battle last night.

Even last night, after the game, I heard some saying they wanted Cameron back when fit , some don't know what they have even when its right in front of them. You wouldn't be saying that if the boot was on the other foot. Thankfully its not.

Phil has been great for us. The Cameron and wilko hate is stupid, as they both have had good seasons for us in the past, but phil obvi has rb on lock.
