...to top form. Thought he was immense tonight.
Shaded by Moses supreme performance, and Crouch again showing what a good player he is.
Edge of the seat stuff...but well deserved win.
Time now to push on.....

I won't be the first to say it, if only he'd scored.

The lad has so much class it's ridiculous. His first touch at times is just phenomenal. That was more like it tonight arnie keep it going now

He played very well tonight, both going forward, and also working hard for the defence. There were a few minutes when the petulant Arnie reappeared, I think he was expecting a pass when Moses steamed through, thought his head was gone, but he regained his composure - welcome back Arnie

I thought he was complete shit in places, and good in others, I found myself more frustrated with his performance than anything, the ability is there but the commitment and the form isn't, he doesn't take players on anymore and doesn't release the ball quick enough, I'm an Arnie fan but he needs to fucking sort himself out because he's been completely dour this season, perhaps if that goal went in he'd wake up a bit, we'll never know.

Big improvement today. A mix of brilliant and awful. Sadly, you may have just summed up his career, before, during, and after Stoke.

I thought he played well. Very unfit though.

Looked hungrier today and very unlucky not to score. Onwards and upwards for him.

Today the bloke looked like he couldn't beat an egg. Really annoyed me because we know he's got the tools to dominate games.

Much better tonight, albeit not quite the Arnie we had at the end of last season. Showed heart and determination. Should have buried his chance just after half-time though.

He was definitely the best player on the pitch second half .....unfortunately he had bad luck with his two good shots (first half and bar). It was a joy to watch him today.....keep it up, Arni!

Didn't think he did anywhere near enough to justify a start next week.

Couldn't believe Assaidi had to be called back twice to cover toward the end. If Diouf needs a rest this weekend. Arnie is our starter.

I thought he played for the team more today. No crazy shots from long distance and putting in the early cross when possible.
I think people are carried away thinking hes some Cristiano Ronaldo guy.
He isnt, thats why he is at Stoke

He was good in parts then shit in others. For the bad moments in that game you need only 4 Fingers to count them......for all his good scenes, you need the hands (fingers) of two men.

The defensive side of his game was good but going forward he was more style over substance. He's know where near as good as he thinks he is....and he's a shadow of the player he was towards the end of last season.

Big improvement today. A mix of brilliant and awful. See I think this is what people are missing, we've been begging for this type of player for years... but this is what you get, when they are good theyre fooking dynamite, when theyre bad they dogshite. You have to accept that players like arnie are gonna have games where they look world beaters and games where youre left scratching your head thinking 'how mich are we paying him?'. Personally im happy to take it, its fucking exciting when he turns it on!

Together with the 3 points Arnie's performance was the most pleasing on the night for me! Good to see him back at that level! Moses and Shawcross were immense though!

Superb tonight once he settled into the game. Really unlucky when he hit the post. Booked himself the right side while Diouf is out.

Can't believe that people are highlighting the few negatives from Arnie's performance tonight.
Some of his defensive play was excellent. Could have scored a couple. Hasn't had much game time and needs minutes to regain his absolute sharpness of last season.
But no, let focus on the negatives.
I don't fuckin believe some people (but I guess I should expect it).

Really pleased he silenced a few of his critics tonight. Should get a run of games now given injuries. Look forward to seeing him play at Sunderland.
