It's always been a joke. The stadium wasn't designed to take this volume of traffic, they never thought that Stoke would make it to the premier league. The road network around the ground can't possibly hold that much traffic

South car park
Left the 'traffic management zone' at 22:45. That was 45 minutes of sitting in stationary traffic, which was better than usual but still poor.

After the game was walking past the Audi garage on the roundabout and there was 1 car that had come up stan's way from South car park, there's a guy stood at the roundabout with a stop/ go sign on stop so the car had stopped but there was no other traffic in sight entering the roundabout in any direction.wtf they seem to want to hold traffic up for the sake of it.

I park up by the gym. I sat in my seat until the final whistle, ran back to the car, waited on the roundabout island for my pals to get back to the car, dropped them off at the Man in Space in Trentham and am now 5 minutes from home which is just the other side of Burnley.
No bother! :-)

Park on Grocott Centre on Grove Road. Left at full time, walked to car and was home in leek at 10:25.
Parking away from the ground is far quicker exit.

Nothing will change until they control taxi's or others attempting to drop off or pick up next to the ground ! What's the point of allocating bus parking slots if some dozey cow sits oblivious outside the seat garage blocking the road until her little soldier climbs into his seat ! Pathetic

The problem is cars turning left out of the old Trent car park, which is privately managed and undermines the traffic control (!) on the South car park.

The traffic management company just make it worse by closing roads and roundabouts forcing everyone off on a SINGLE LANE carriageway over the A50 flyover. Dickheads the lot of them...

Whole road and parking network needs redesigning for it to work. What do we pay all these planners at the council for? Half the problem is the fact all the businesses around the ground clog up the traffic. Cars should be banned from entering on a match day. Just doesn't work.
As other have said needs ripping up and starting again. Using a separate piece of land or something for car parking, drop offs, visitors and coaches.
Allianz manage it, needs dedicated roads from and onto the two dual carriage ways, it can't be that difficult

The problem is there is to much parking to close to the ground. So a lot of cars are using the same stretch of road over a short period. No different a Alton Towers after a concert. Most clubs do not have on site parking and you have to walk 20min to a carpark this allows the traffic to disperse easier.

It will require the local council to allow Sir Stan's to be two-lane and one-way only for 30 minutes after the game has ended for it to be sorted out. All cars parked in all the car parks along Sir Stan's would only be able to egress via Trentham Road. Put a couple of traffic cops at both sets of lights by Aldi and job done. All other traffic should go via the A50 or over the bridge and via Heron Cross.
OS.

Aside from that they just need to manage the lights and roads so traffic doesn't stop. It shouldn't need too if pedestrians are managed.

Who is in charge of traffic?
I need to know so I can batter the prick with a Cone that are everywhere closing off roads to halt traffic completely'
Surely now after how long in the prem and big crowds why don't the Police operate the traffic lights along Stan matts way and right down to the NatWest bank at trentham to keep the flow of traffic moving because it was painfully stop start for over an hr after the final whistle to get off the car parks and along Stan way'
Complete fuckin Shambles!

Have to say it is a complete nightmare at the moment. These so called traffic management experts that have supposed to have put in the "new system" really do need sorting out. I dread to think what it has cost to put them in place but it has been a total waste of money and, in the main, an unmitigated disaster. Ask for your money back Stoke and get rid.
