Is it officially an Indian Summer yet. People say it all the time but it rarely is.
I was sat by my mate Deck Texting at the bus stop yesterday and he reckons the weather girl told him there have to be certain conditions eg after September, longer than a day etc etc but I thought that sounded a load of rubbish. I think it's an Indian summer but Deck wouldn't have it. (Deck shares a block of flats with a weather girl)
PS I didn't believe Deck Texting was his real name but we were going to Telford for a day out on national express and I saw his ticket he had printed off the internet and it definitely said deck texting as his real proper name. He is American they alll have names like that; Deck, Brek, Dick, Brick.
Anyway if there are any meteorological experts out there, can you answer this question

Telford isnt brilliant i know, in fact I wanted to go to Church Stretton instead but the memories there are too painful for Deck. When he first moved to this country he lived with a girl in Penkhull, and they went for a day out together in Church Stretton. They spent a lot of time in the big antiques centre on the corner. She was reportedly a bit moody so he went to get her some food (normally works). He went into the bakery in the main square (next to the charity shop) to get a bannock, and when he came out, his girlfriend had vanished. he looked for her everywhere but couldnt find her so he went home on his own - and she had moved out. He never saw her again - ever - to this day. She must have worked fast to get back to Penkhull with no car, pack and find somewhere, and shift all her belongings. There was no note or nothing. The only thing she left was a pair of red socks. He is puzzled. In fact i think of Decks pain every time i go through Church Stretton. he became a musician to get over it and a lot of his music comes from this traumatic day. So we went to Telford.

Sometimes there are threads that need to be read more than once and there others that need to be read a dozen times to understand their significance. I'm up to 14 on this one ..

Tuesday 23rd was officially first day of autumn, or autumn equinox, being mid way between mid summer and mid winters day. So Indian summer would start on that day wouldn't it?

The weather is mainly due to remain unseasonable into October. So the OP may get his Indian summer.
