Are picking up too many points whereas we are struggling to muster up a win. Leicester, hull, Southampton, villa, West Ham and now even west brom are gaining points on us and as the gaps grow it will get harder and harder to bring ourselves back to upper mid table/lower top half. Not worried about relegation but our target should be 8th-12th for me

If we beat Newcastle next Monday, chances are we'll be in the top half. We'll be around about 10th or there abouts come May and there is not a chance Palace, Burnley and QPR will finish above us, not to mention two or three more.

Burnley beat man u last time they were promoted and i think they still finished bottom. They will have bad runs too FFS get a grip of yourselves. Lets see where we are after 20 games before we start hitting the panic button.

No problem mate don't worth at all of else you'll be made a laughing stock on this board. We have a god /given right to be in the prem so even if we continue posing games at home we will still have nothing to worth about

I'm not sure if we will do as well as many (both Stoke fans and neutrals) people thought we might this season. But there really is a lot of pap in the league this season and touch wood I don't think we will have to worry about relegation. We have got a tough ish run coming up though and I reckon things might start looking worse soon. But like last season I reckon we will have a better 2nd half and finish much stronger than we started.

The size and quality of our squad will show when others around us lose a key player or two as the season goes on.
Season never settles until about November.

I wouldn't be too worried at the moment, but I really think we need to get some points on the board. If we still haven't got many points on the board by the end of November, it will be a long, long winter imo.

I'm not worried about relegation as I mentioned in the OP. But point gaps are point gaps no matter what point in the season. It's like people are saying they'd be pleased if we finished about 14th

He says i I am right and should be very worried but not as much as the others who can't see it We might go down. Bigger clubs than us have in the past, so anything is possible. We can't do anything about it if it does happen so why waste energy worrying about it?

He says i I am right and should be very worried but not as much as the others who can't see it I think you are great Every season you have the same worry. There are indeed grains of truth and concern in your posts, but it is too early, as previous seasons have shown to take any stock in any doom or gloom, or indeed top 10 Last season we went in to the Man U game in the bottom 3 and never looked back Some bloke once said 'it is a funny old game'

A huge if in fairness, Newcastle have been like us, bossing their matches but not picking up the points, this is our toughest match so far with the exception of Man City

we could quite easily be sitting with 10-12 points now
Villa, lost to one attack Hull, poorest show so far Man City won Leicester, should have won QPR, should have won
ok, all ifs and buts, but we are not far off from where we want to be.

Can only laugh that Palace are 3-1 up away at Everton too.
Bit of a tipsy-turvy weekend results wise.

I think we could end up in the mire at this rate...not one result today has gone for us...like it or not we need a few to be losing ground early and it's not happening.

Weekends like this happen, we drop a couple of points or lose and the teams who we assume will be around us all win. Then there'll be weekends where the opposite happens. We win and everyone around us loses. Strange eh? Finish this old saying... Don't get your knickers in a.... Car boot sale

Don't panic! Don't panic!
The "wrong teams" are winning! The "wrong teams" are losing - including Stoke.
Don't worry - it will be "right" by match 38.
Why are people getting upset because "bottom teams" are beating "top teams" and expect Stoke not to get only 3 or 4 points in December/early Jan.
