I'd rather Whelan myself.

I'm not as optimistic as you seem to be about our chances this year

I'm not as optimistic as you seem to be about our chances this year Why? We did well last year and appeared to have improved the squad. We haven't picked the points up we deserved this season.

I'd like Fletcher. Very good player! I'd also have had Krancjar, and that Nick Powell if possible. Powell has gone to Leicester.

I'd take him to Stoke. He could be decent alongside Adam as they do have the benefit of playing together for Scotland.

Wouldn't it bust the wage structure? I doubt he would take a drop in wages.

Could we see in January Whelan off fletcher in Walters off adama traore in Crouch off to qpr yarmolenko in Maybe sorensen and wilko off by the summer.? Hopefully not. I don't rate Fletcher any higher than Whelan. Before his illness he was arguably one of the best centre mids in England, but since he's returned, he's looked nothing short of shite. Fergie saw a lot in Fletcher because under his reign, he was an excellent player and for many of their support, his absence is the sole reason why Man Utd looked so open in that final they lost against Barca, however since he's returned he's clearly not the same player. Moyes didn't see it and if he's so openly linked with us and a number of other clubs, neither does Van Gaal. I also don't see the point in letting Peter Crouch go. He was man of the match against QPR, and showed exactly why he's not worth letting go. What would we get, a million? Two maybe? Who could we sign for that?y I think Tommy will probably consider retiring after this season. He'll be 39 come the start of next season and unless he plans to drop down leagues I don't see him getting a game for most Premiership clubs. That's not me trying to do him a disservice as for me, he's arguably one of the most important transfers since we got into the Premiership. Certainly, he was an absolute asset in those first few seasons.

That said, my original point stands. The reason he's getting closer to the exit door at United is because he's been shit, and by shit I mean fucking useless. Let's not forget he was out of the game for over a year and after having surgery, I don't believe he properly trained for quite a long time. For someone of his age, who really should have been at his physical peak at this time (27 wasn't he?) it may well be the case that he never achieves that kind of fitness level again.

He can't get anywhere near a utd team that just lost 5 at Leicester . He plays most games on the bench another cheap one with no value great before his illness but surely guidetti shows this is a flawed way . Mata couldn't get into that XI yesterday, I doubt we'd turn our nose up at him.
