With the new rules coming through about non-Eu players is there any point in this I wonder.
Unless we're going to ally ourselves more closely with the Orlando franchise maybe..?

It may be growing the Stoke brand in America.

I personally think it's a commercial exercise.
I get the feeling were gearing up to be sold to an American consortium/Buyer

The game is picking up in the USA so we are trying to grab a slice of the pie. We should make more of the Orlando link because the team has just entered the MLS and seems to have quite a strong supporter base.

We are partnered with clubs all over the world, this exercise is just to increase the stoke city brand in the USA, which is the largest growing sector in world football. If Stoke could tap into 1% of the new support in the USA our mechandise sales worldwide would increase dramatically enabling us to be a sustainable club while still been active in the transfer market
