www.espn.co.uk/cricket/sport/story/341837.htmlDisgusting treatment of Moeen Ali at the recent 20-20 international. Would the police and authorities treated it so lightly if the those subjecting the player to abuse hadn't been of Asian origin? Would MS Doni dismissed it if it were one of his player picked on for his origin? Sadly a happily integrated Britain will probably never be achieved while groups continue not to share the support of Britain and actively persecute people who represent Britain. Very sad.

Well apparently Moeen did not wish to make a big issue of it , that's why the Police haven't really gone into it ......it's apparently quite a regular occurrence between Indo- Pakistan communities in this country ....pretty sad. State of affairs from a cricket perspective isn't it ?

State of affairs from a cricket perspective isn't it ? It's a strange one cricket my first memories are watching the Windies pummeling England at Edgebaston with plenty of the local population supporting the Windies the next year against Australia alot were back supporting England so I don't think it's a problem of integration. The booing of Moeen in birmingham by fellow brummies is pretty sad and distasteful but racist I'm not so sure, the more you hear and see Moeen speak and act the more impressed I am, seems remarkably well adjusted and likeable and an improvement on wankers like KP. The 20/20 crowd was full of plastic indian fans just like st paddies day attracts all the my great great grandad was irish crowd and they probably didn't take too well to his comments after the tests that more brits of asian heritage should support england.

Would the police have needed a compliant from the individual if it had been a group of NF supporters having a go at an Asian player?
