They will probably make his assistant, Robert Page, manager.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29253698Funny how for the latter part of last season Vale fans and those associated with the club were all willing Adams to sign a new contract yet here we are very early into the new season and he's a goner. If you want me to be a goner get me an LP by Des O'Connor

That's tough for the Vale. I thought Adams and The Vale were quite a good fit.
Sounds like he'd resigned, which is quite an honourable thing to do. He could have waited for the bullet.
I think Vale might as well take a chance on somebody. Someone impressing lower down the pyramid or maybe Hockaday if they could afford him.

He sounded almost suicidal in his last interview so this comes as no surprise. I think this could see them relegated.

From their forum it seems like a lot of fans were angry with his long ball tactics and defeatist attitudes towards certain fixtures.
Sounds familiar

Suggestions on their board of them wanting Pulis. They must be having a giraffe if they think Pulis would go there. Brilliant

So I can't see them taking a manager that's already under contract as they could afford the pay off. So it's either someone that's out of a job or Page. My issue with Page is that he must have played some part in them being in this mess in the first place!!

Come on, even the most ardent critic of TP has to admit he can do better than the Vile. They'd barely be able to afford his tracksuit.
TP to Cardiff or Leeds.
Neil Aspin's doing ok at Halifax, maybe he'll be a target.

I'm a bit concerned Neil Aspin could get the job and do well. I'd much rather they gave it to a proven clown like Glover or Grew.
What about Bradley Sandeman? He always struck me as the kind of guy who didn't have much about him.
