Just watching Liverpool right now debating this one with myself i.e.
Do I want
a) competing clubs in the elite top section of our league wearing themselves out in the champions league earning fortunes in the process
or
b) Do I want their carefully calculated business plans totally screwed up by an early exit ?
Not caring how we are represented - leads me to conclude an early exit is favourable as far as I am concerned - but it does have the disadvantage of their large expensive squads being available against us. Then again, totally screwed up business plans for already greedy clubs and having large squads of dissatisfied players kicking up a fuss and, egomaniac players having nothing to do but get paid massive inflated wages, does amuse me
discuss ?

Id go for plan 'a' purely for the fact tht the big clubs have pots of cash anyway, so the further they go the more chance of suspensions etc......which could help as and when we play them...
Or do they just get suspended for the Champions league games, in which case makes a complete cock up of my plan ?
Cant we just laugh at them as and when they crash out..?

I can imagine Brendan tonight talking to Fenway (the owners) 'Enjoy the occasion tonight Brendan but whatever you do - dont lose' ! or, there's a motorway flyover we're pouring concrete in tomorrow and if we do (lose) - you'll be in the foundations mate !

I want them all to do very well but not win it.
With mid week games all season it will put the scouse lot well out of the top 4 again. The other three i wouldnt mind winning but you know their fans would be unbearable if they did.
